Gucci Mane drops 'Ice Daddy', fans call it 'album of the summer'

Gucci Mane has released his 18th studio album 'Ice Daddy' and fans can't get enough of the rapper's latest venture

After teasing his fans for many months now, Gucci Mane treated his listeners with a brand-new album, titled ‘Ice Daddy’. Social media has gone berserk after the release of the latest album and shared their thoughts on the album.

The Alabama-based rapper began his professional career in 2005 and has produced numerous hit tracks. Mane is best known for his songs like ‘Weird’, ‘Timothy’, ‘Lemonade’ and ‘Wasted’. Gucci Mane has released 17 studio albums and over 71 mixtapes throughout his career. In 2007, he founded 1017 Records and is currently working under his own record label. He has worked with artists such as Drake, Lil Wayne, Selena Gomez, Mariah Carey, and Marilyn Manson.

The album has released on the eve of Father’s Day weekend and the album cover has his son Ice Davis on it. This is the first time the hip-hop couple has revealed their son publicly. The rapper is married to Keyshia Ka’oir.



 

As far as the album is concerned, there are 17 tracks on the album and Mane has collaborated with musicians like Pooh Shiest, BIG30, Lil Baby, 2 Chainz, E-40, and more.



 

Speaking of lyrics, in the chorus of ‘Posse on Bouldercrest’, Mane raps, “Me and my gang, that home away from home/ In an all-red phantom, in the backseat, on the phone/ It's callin' up the posse, it's time to get to rippin'/ And if they get to trippin', then we shootin' like the Pistons/ Everybody lickin', make you jealous, turn around/ These 26 inches, got it so high off the ground/ Forgiato rims, they skinny as the tires/ My system soundin' good, but I need to buy 'em higher.”

'Album of the Summer'

Social media had a lot to say about the album and they showered praises on the rapper and his new album. They rushed to Twitter and shared their views on Mane’s newest venture. One user said, “Yeah…this gotta be the album of the summer.” Another user noted, “Gucci Mane literally never disappoints with the album drops.” Meanwhile, one of the users went on to say that ‘Ice Daddy’ might become a ‘Album of the Year’ contender at the Grammys. He wrote, “I'm gonna keep pushing the Gucci Mane agenda today and say Ice Daddy could be a serious trap AOTY contender.”

“Gucci mane is on his victory lap with this album after his artists have been killing it this year he dropped one of the best trap projects of the year. So many bangers on here and Gucci is rapping great, also almost every feature on here is fire. This is a top-tier Gucci project,” wrote another one.

“Ice Daddy is by far the best New Gucci (2016-present) album by far,” wrote another user. On the other hand, another user wrote, “This album is dope asf. It reminds me of OLD GUCCI.
