Greta Van Fleet to headline London's Electric Ballroom
Following their sold-out debut UK headline tour in March/April, one of American’s fastest rising rock bands, Greta Van Fleet, have announced a headline show at Camden’s legendary Electric Ballroom.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of the band's two sold-out nights at the O2 Academy Islington, one of which was attended by the legendary Sir Elton John. Now, they’re set to light up Electric Ballroom on June 11. Greta Van Fleet, who is often compared to rock legends Led Zeppelin for their sonic resemblance, are also poised to hit a number of big music festivals this year.
The weekend before their Electric Ballroom gig, the band will be making their debut UK Festival appearance on the Zippo Encore stage at the home of rock, Download Festival. Before crossing the pond though, they’ll also be playing a host of festivals over the summer in the US, including Coachella and Lollapalooza.
Tickets for GVF's Electric Ballroom performance will be made available to the general public on April 13 at 9 am local time via Live Nation. Check out the band's official website for more information.
Last year, the band released the eight-track ‘From The Fires’ which combines four new tracks recorded in September at Rust Belt Studios in Detroit -- two GVF original songs, 'Talk on the Street' and 'Edge of Darkness,' and two covers, Sam Cooke’s emotional 'A Change Is Gonna Come' and 'Meet On The Ledge' by the late 60s folk rock band Fairport Convention -- with the four songs from the band’s debut EP, 'Black Smoke Rising', released earlier this year.
