Is Greg Berlanti DC's Kevin Feige? Arrowverse boss reportedly considered for head of films for WBD's DCEU
Arrowverse creator Greg Berlanti is reportedly looked at as a prime candidate for a Kevin Feige-like role for Warner Bros. Discovery's DCEU movies. It has been a rather tumultuous month for the superhero franchise and WB Discovery with the whole 'Batgirl' cancellation story, despite the fact that principal photography was completed in March earlier this year. With changes set to ring in DCEU flicks, there have been some developments on The CW's superhero rosters of shows as well with the network scrubbing 'Batgirl', 'Legends of Tomorrow' and 'Naomi'.
Parallelly, Berlanti is looking at landing a major role within DC films in the near future. Per a Variety report, WB Discovery CEO David Zaslav is looking at introducing a new head of films with Walter Hamada reportedly heading out. The idea was to have a Feige-like personality who is currently serving as the President of Marvel Studios. However, there have been no official discussions between WBD and Berlanti's team.

"You look at Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman — these are brands that are known everywhere in the world," Zaslav said on the WBD investor call. "The ability to drive those all over the world with a great story is a big opportunity for us. We have done a reset. We've restructured the business. We're going to focus. There will be a team with a 10-year plan focusing just on DC. It's very similar to the structure that Alan Horn and Bob Iger put together, very effectively, with Kevin Feige at Disney. We think that we could build a long-term much stronger, sustainable growth business out of DC."
The mega TV producer is currently involved with the 'Green Lantern' TV show and the 'Dead Boy Detectives' for HBO Max. He also co-created 'Titans' and 'Doom Patrol'. Alternatively, 'Godzilla vs Kong' producer Dan Lin is the other name doing the rounds. His credits include 'IT' and the 'LEGO Batman Movie'. However, a comicbook report said he wasn't interested in the role.
