Grammys 2020 Red Carpet: Ariana Grande dazzles like a princess in massive silver-grey tulle gown
Ariana Grande walked onto the Grammys red carpet this year, in person, in the fluffiest blue-grey Giambattista Valli creation. Grande had a princess moment for sure in the tulle dress and completed the look with a pair of long silver-grey gloves and her signature ponytail, dyed blonde this year.
The 'God Is a Woman' singer had skipped the Grammys last year and had posed on social media in her grey Zac Posen gown as a sign of protest. "When @zacposen makes u a custom gown it doesn’t matter if you’re singing or not.... thank u," the singer had said after a disagreement over creative freedom. Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich had said that they were unable to pull together a show and it had infuriated Grande, who refuted his statement in a Twitter rant.
"I’ve kept my mouth shut but now you’re lying about me,” she said. “I can pull together a performance over night [sic] and you know that, Ken. it was when my creativity & self-expression was stifled by you, that I decided not to attend."
It looks like all that bad blood is definitely in the past because Grande seemed to enjoy herself in a dress that is so truly her - over the top, in a good way, of course.
She decided to go easy on the bling and paired the outfit with a pair of simple diamond drop earrings and a cat-eye. The massive dress was reportedly so large, it was easily almost 20 feet in diameter. She wore a pair of Christian Louboutin heels underneath all that tulle. The dress was strapless and had layers of ruffles. It was styled by Law Roach.
Grande is nominated for five awards this year after winning her first-ever Grammy last year. She's also performing this year. The singer was seen posing on the red carpet with her parents, Edward Butera and Joan Grande, who she brought on as her dates.
