The 62nd Grammy Awards is finally here! This year's nominees were announced back in November by Alicia Keys, who hosts the awards show for the second time.

As the pre-show premiere awards were announced, Lizzo clinched the trophy for 'Jerome' for the Best Traditional R&B Performance. The 31-year-old singer beat fellow nominees, BJ the Chicago Kid for 'Time Today', India.Arie for 'Steady Love', Lucky Daye for 'Real Games' and PJ Morton featuring Jazmine Sullivan for 'Built for Love'.

That's not all. She also won the award for Best Urban Contemporary Album for the song 'Cuz I Love You' (Deluxe). That already makes two wins for the singer, who leads the nominations, with eight nods including the award for Best New Artist.

Fans couldn't stop raving about the two wins and posted a string of tweets to congratulate the artist. "Make that TWO #GRAMMY wins for @lizzo. She has to be feeling 'Good As Hell' because 'Jerome' took Best Traditional R&B Performance and "Cause I Love You" took Best Urban Contemporary Album," one tweet read.

Many fans were expecting face-off between Lizzo and Billie Eilish. "If there's a face-off at #Grammys2020, it's Billie Eilish vs. Lizzo. So far, Billie has the Grammy for "Best Pop Vocal Album."

"Her brother Finneas has 'Producer of the Year, Non-Classical' and 'Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical'," one tweet read and another said, "This is the first year 2 artists received Grammy nominations in all major categories: best new artist, album, song and record. @Lizzo and @BillieEilish are making history."

This year's list of Grammy presenters includes big names, including Ava DuVernay, Bebe Rexha, Billy Porter, Brandi Carlile, Common, Cynthia Erivo, Dua Lipa, Keith Urban, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder and Trevor Noah.

Apart from Lizzo, other artists who won an early award include Lil Nas X for Best Music Video, and Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
