Grammys 2020: Gary Clark Jr wins Best Rock Performance for 'This Land' and scores a triple win

He won the Best Rock Song trophy for the title song and also clinched an award for Best Contemporary Blues Album

Recognizing the best from the music world, the 62nd Grammy Awards started on a mournful note as Lizzo and Alicia Keys paid their tributes to NBA superstar Kobe Bryant. As the pre-show awards were announced, Gary Clark Jr took home the Best Rock Performance award for 'This Land'.

Well, that's not all. The singer won two more Grammys for 'This Land'. He won the Best Rock Song trophy for the title song and also clinched an award for Best Contemporary Blues Album. Fans are delighted to see the singer win all the awards for his album.

"So epic to see @GaryClarkJr carving up the #Grammys2020!!! #thisland," one tweet read and another said, "The only thing that is keeping me watching right now is a @GaryClarkJr performance #Grammys2020."

Hosted by Alicia Keys for the second year running, the Grammy is being held at The Staples Center in Los Angeles and can be watched live on CBS.

Lizzo leads the nominations list at the Grammys 2020, including Best New Artist and Album of the Year. Music lovers are looking forward to a face-off between first-time Grammy nominee and performer Billie Eilish and Lizzo, who has a total of eight nods.

Aerosmith, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are expected to take the Grammy stage together for the first time. Gear up for the performances of Camila Cabello, Gary Clark Jr., John Legend, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, H.E.R., Jonas Brothers, Lil Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lizzo, Rosalía, Blake Shelton and Tyler, The Creator.

This year's list of Grammy presenters includes big names including Ava DuVernay, Bebe Rexha, Billy Porter, Brandi Carlile, Common, Cynthia Erivo, Dua Lipa, Keith Urban, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder and Trevor Noah.
