Grammys 2020: Jameela Jamil stuns in couture gown, but her boots were made for talking
Jameela Jamil looked sensational in her couture gown on the Grammys red carpet on Sunday, but as usual, she kept it real. 'The Good Place' actor tweeted a photo of herself and boyfriend James Blake showing off the designer garb that she paired with a pair of boots from ASOS.
"What you see and what you don’t see. My @ASOS boots under my @GeorgesChakra couture. Because a girl needs to be comfortable," Jamil tweeted.
She was seen posing outside a garage door, her leg sticking out of her designer dress. The actor wore a strapless tiered ballgown from designer Georges Chakra's Fall Winter 2019-2020 Couture Collection.
The dress had metallic blue panels stacked together and a mesh-insert skirt at the bottom, adding to the glam quotient of the futuristic gown.
Jamil wore her signature hair down, complete with the blunt bangs. As for makeup, she went with a simple cat-eye and nude lips. The "cool garage girl" glam was, however, not loved by all.
While the post was relatable to most fans, some were not convinced. "jameela what’s comfortable about heeled boots lmao," one fan tweeted, noting the high heels on the boots. "Those boots are what you consider comfortable??? Oh dear. I have to go have a talk with my Birkenstocks," another said.
But most fans loved it. "Girl, I'm gay and I'd let you step on me with them boots anyday," one fan said while another tweeted, "i wish we had the link for those boots! haha, they look so good. i mean that dress is stunning too but there's a chance i could actually afford the boots."
A third fan said, "We all need more dress boots and sneakers in our lives." Jameela was at the Grammys to support Blake, who was nominated for Best Alternative Music album for his record 'Assume Form.'
