Grammys 2020: Billie Eilish makes history as youngest musician to bag top 4 awards and not all fans are happy
Billie Eilish came, sang and conquered the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards that was held at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, night. Billie made history as the youngest artist to win all four top awards.
Hosted by Alicia Keys, the Grammy Awards kicked off with an emotional tribute to Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna who died in a helicopter crash in California. Usher, Sheila E. and FKA Twigs honored Prince with a performance, while Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Gary Clark Jr, Camila Cabello and many more rendered brilliant performances during the award ceremony.
Eilish swept the Grammy Awards this year as she took home five awards out of the six she was nominated for. She won the award for the Best Pop Vocal Album, Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. She was nominated for the Best Pop Solo Performance but lost it to Lizzo who won the award for her song 'Truth Hurts'.
Watching Billie win one award after the other, fans on Twitter were stunned questioning how did she deserve to win five awards. "Deeply do not understand the Billie Eilish hype. What talent?? What “aesthetic”??? #GRAMMYs," wrote a fan.
