LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: On Friday, April 7, 2023, the official trailer for 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' was released. This film is the fifth installment in the long-running franchise and features Harrison Ford, now 80 years old, reprising his role as Indiana Jones, complete with his iconic whip and hat. And he was seen riding a horse in New York City, racing a tuk-tuk, and jumping out of a burning plane while being pursued by bad guys. There is also a scene with a massive rolling boulder.

The archaeologist is brought out of retirement by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who also played a significant role as Indy's goddaughter. She wants to look for treasure that Indy claims he has been looking for "all my life." The upcoming 'Indiana Jones' movie shows Mads Mikkelsen as the villain Jürgen Voller, who wants to use the Dial of Destiny to travel through time and help Hitler win World War II. However, Indiana Jones will likely try to stop him and prevent this catastrophic outcome.

The film is expected to have the same level of adventure as previous installments, despite the unique time-travel premise. There may also be a crossover between young and old Indiana Jones as they work together to thwart Voller's plans. Although young Indy scenes are said to be in flashbacks, the use of the Dial could potentially bring the two versions of the character together in an epic adventure through time.

The Indiana Jones franchise will come to a permanent end after the fifth and final movie release. Harrison Ford first played the adventurous archaeologist in 1981's 'Raiders of the Lost Ark,' and subsequently starred in two sequels. There was then a nearly 20-year hiatus before the fourth installment, 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,' was released in 2008. The fifth movie, 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,' is set to hit theaters in June. However, Disney, which acquired the rights to the franchise through the purchase of Lucasfilm, has confirmed that this will be the last of Indy's adventures. Watch the trailer below

After multiple delays, 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 30, 2023. The movie's producer, Frank Marshall, announced in February 2022 that production had finally wrapped up, and James Mangold, who took over directing from Steven Spielberg, is determined to make the wait worthwhile.

The movie was initially planned for release in July 2019, but the release date was shifted to July 10, 2020, and then delayed again by Disney to July 9, 2021, and then to July 29, 2022. Finally, Disney postponed the movie's release by another year to June 30, 2023, as part of a series of film release date changes.

James Mangold,  who took over directing from Steven Spielberg, is determined to ensure that the move is worth the wait."I understand wariness; I live it," he wrote on Twitter. He added, "I don't know if I'll make you happy, but my team and I will knock ourselves out trying to make something good."
