The arrival of the Golden Globes means the awards season has officially started. However, the cases of Covid-19 have begun rising once again and it is creating a lot of doubts among the organizers if they should go ahead with the award ceremonies or not. But HFPA has made it clear that the Golden Globes will go ahead and the winners will be announced on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

But there’s a catch, the organization also announced that the event will go “private” this year and won’t be telecast due to a lot of controversies. Making things even worse for the fans, HFPA recently took the decision of not even live-stream the event for the viewers. They will be announcing the winners through social media and a full press release will be shared with the media outlets after the event is over. So, one of the most beloved events in the entertainment industry might turn out to be tasteless this year.
