'Ghost Adventures: Quarantine' is a four-episodic special that sees the foursome comprising Zak Bagans, Aaron Goodwin, Jay Wasley and Billy Tolley continue to investigate Bagan's 'Haunted Museum' based in Las Vegas. The coronavirus pandemic that has been sweeping the nation and causing mass devastation has instilled a sense of fear and gloom in everyone. In the new ghost-hunting mini-series, the group aims to find out if the added fear resulting from the rapidly spreading pandemic could potentially affect their paranormal investigations. The crew of four have quarantined themselves on the museum premises and shot the whole series themselves, without a separate camera crew, while also taking extreme caution and adhering to the state guidelines on prevention measures.

In the second episode titled 'Extension of Darkness', the group investigates the vacant house that sits on the museum property. They also explore the basement, the mysterious ball of light appearing in the surveillance footage from the 'Jail Room' or the serial killer exhibit that houses notorious serial killer, Charles Manson's belongings.

The investigation

When the museum was up and running prior to the lockdown, guests often claimed to have seen a woman's figure through one of the windows on the top floor of the house that faces the museum. The house is a part of the museum property owned by Bagans, who bought it from the previous owner, Mike Schwartz. Schwartz's mother had died in the upstairs room where guests claimed to have seen a woman. However, the team decides that they will not conclude that the house is haunted by Schwartz's mother until it has been thoroughly investigated and the evidence collected has been examined.

Goodwin and Tolley venture into the house to collect material so they can begin investigating into what or who could be haunting the house. EVP evidence taken at the house recorded an unexplained voice, that according to Bagans sounded like the voice of an old woman. Photographic evidence that they capture in their first sweep shows a black shadowy mass taking up most of the picture. Following the examination of the material collected during the first sweep, Goodwin and Tolley head back to the house to see if they can record anything else. Cameras later captured a strange anomaly in the room floating above where the previous owner had discovered his mother's dead body. The duo suddenly complained of feeling extremely chilly, while Goodwin's camera also randomly malfunctioned a few times.

Investigation of the basement

Bagans and Wasley decided to take on the museum basement, an area of the building which was generally off-limits. When Bagans bought the museum in 2017, he was warned by the State Bar of Nevada and other employees about the strange, negative aura that emanated from the basement which told you it wasn't safe to be down there. The museum manager had installed several surveillance cameras in the basement and has previously recorded the basement door opening and shutting on its own. Bagans decided to focus on this aspect in the investigation. Furthermore, the cameras also captured a mysterious white anomaly casually float in the 'Jail Room', which happens to be right above the basement. A ceiling vent on the basement opens straight into the Jail Room and Bagans intends to find out if the activity in the basement corresponds with it.

The Jail Room is a part of the museum's exhibits that is filled with personal items from some of the most notorious serial killers to have ever lived. The cameras have captured activity particularly in the part of the exhibit that houses Charles Manson's belongings, like his bone fragment, false teeth and ashes. Lights flickering in the Manson exhibit and a white anomaly disappearing into Manson's case have also been caught on tape. A guest once spoke to his bone fragments fueled by the hatred she felt for Manson when she remembered all of the things that he had done. When she turned around, she felt sudden dizziness and as if someone were stabbing her repeatedly in the stomach.

Charles Manson (Travel Channel)

Manson was a twisted serial killer who had gathered a small group of youngsters and formed a murderous cult called the Manson family. Together, the cult orchestrated a series of murders and rapes in the late 1960s, including the high-profile murder of pregnant actress Sharon Tate in 1969. He was initially sentenced to death but it changed to life imprisonment. He died in a hospital at age 83, in 2017.

The museum is built on an 11,000 square foot property in 1938 and was originally owned by the Wengert family. Cyril S Wengert and his family played an integral role in the making of Las Vegas, the city that it is today, and the museum property was once the largest building in the city. Residents who have lived in the house have claimed that it is haunted by the spirits of family members who died here. The house is also rumored to have been a site of satanic rituals in the 1970s, with trespassing teenagers reporting to have seen pentagrams and blood strewn on the basement floor.

A famous actress (she requested to remain anonymous) and her brother who had lived in the museum property in the 1970s, contacted Bagans and told him about their father engaging in devil-worshipping ceremonies in the basement of the museum. She also told him that women and children have died in the basement and her brother told Bagans that he would always see a screaming boy there. She claimed the place was calling her back and also caused her dad to behave strangely whenever he came by. The Wengerts had a little boy named James who had died in the house in the 1930s, and that could possibly be the same boy that the actress's brother was referring to.

Ever since Bagans became the owner of this property, it had been unveiling things to him which he believes is intentional. He went down to the basement to do some EMF and EVP readings by himself when he felt something make physical contact with him. Wasley monitored an anomaly through the surveillance cameras that floated around Bagans. Audio communications resulted in physical manifestations, in the form of a ball of light while the whole room suddenly turned ice cold. His EMF camera also randomly caught some disturbances and the recordings were glitchy. Wasley conducts a dangerous electrical experiment to channel and provoke any spirits in the Jail Room.

Three weeks after they shot this part of the Haunted Museum paranormal investigation, Bagans' landscape crew who were digging for irrigation ditches on the property unearthed a petrified pistol that was buried three feet under the ground, which could have been a potential murder weapon. Was someone murdered on the property?

'Ghost Adventures: Quarantine' premieres Thursdays at 9/8c on Travel Channel.
