Garth Brooks ‘Fun’: Release date, tracklist, concept and all you need to know about country legend’s 12th album

Country music legend Garth Brooks, who was most recently honored with the 2020 Billboard Music Icon Award, is all set to drop his 12th studio album in the form of ‘Fun.’ The two-time Grammy winner had first announced his new project in October via his official Twitter account. The 58-year-old country musician had shared the official cover art of his new record and captioned the post: “FUN is dropping 11/20! Join me for a LIVE preview of the new album this Wednesday at 7pm ET! We ALL need some #FUN!!!! love, g.”



 

The brand new album from Garth Brooks is a follow-up to his 2016 much-acclaimed project titled ‘Gunslinger.’ According to Rolling Stone magazine, the renowned singer had originally teased the album in 2018 with the tracks ‘All Day Long’ and the ballad ‘Stronger Than You.’  Both the tracks are very much part of the new album.

Release date

Garth Brooks’ ‘Fun’ is scheduled to hit the Internet on November 20, 2020, via record label Blue Rose, Inc. Interestingly, Brooks is also dropping the deluxe edition of his 2018 live album titled ‘Triple Live’ on the same day which will cover the three-and-a-half-year, record-breaking Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood, along with tracks from the record-shattering Stadium Tour, as mentioned on the official website.

Concept

Brooks had shared the album cover on his official Twitter account which features a close-up shot of the country superstar. His name appears in a small print on the cover's top right corner, while the album's title appears in large, neon sign-style letters. According to the official website of the country legend, the limited edition CD will come with a holographic foil cover.

Garth Brooks’ Fun’ will keep the fans hooked with a total of 14 tracks including ‘Dive Bar’ with Blake Shelton, and the cover of ‘Shallow’ which was originally sung by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in the movie ‘A Star is Born.’
