They say all good things come to an end, and so it did when 'Game of Thrones' ended after its eighth and final season. Fans were saddened and had a tough time bidding goodbye to their favorite show. However, the gods old and the new as in the creators of 'Game of Thrones' announced a new series related to 'GoT' is in production focussing only on the House of Targaryens. Fans instantly lost their calm when they heard the news of 'House of the Dragon,' and waited till Sunday, August 21, 2022, for 'Game of Thrones' prequel 'House of the Dragon' to air. 

'Game of Thrones' prequel 'House of the Dragon' is the story of the Targaryen civil war that took place about 200 years before the events portrayed in 'Game of Thrones.' Based on the book Fire & Ice by George R. R. Martin, the show is streaming on HBO Max and is going to be aired every Sunday. George R. R. Martin is also the executive producer of the show alongside Ryan J. Condal, Miguel Sapochnik, Vince Gerardis, Sara Lee Hess, and Ron Schmidt.
