G-Eazy, Ashley Benson break up 2 months after he professed love on Instagram, they had started dating last May
It seems like actress, model, and singer Ashley Benson and rapper Gerald Earl Gillum, better known as G-Eazy, have hit splitsville. As per reports, the couple has broken up after nearly one year of dating. The split reportedly comes as fans noticed Benson unfollowed him on Instagram.
Benson and G-Eazy were first linked in May 2020 when they were photographed holding hands and kissing in Los Angeles. The pictures surfaced shortly after Benson and ex-girlfriend Cara Delevingne had broken up after two years together in April 2020.

The whirlwind romance
At the time, a source had told E! News, "Ashley and G-Eazy aren't dating but are definitely hanging out and having fun right now. It's a good distraction for Ashley. They connected after working together recently, but have been friends for a while now and also have a few mutual friends."
"They have bonded over that and really get along. They are both funny and love being chill while sitting at home and laughing for hours," the source had added. "It's definitely nothing serious but they are enjoying time together right now."
However, their relationship became more defined in the months to come. A source told E! News in October 2020, "Many people in their friend group thought Ashley and G would be a short fling, but they are very serious about each other. They have been inseparable for months and are basically living together at this point. They both make each other laugh all day long. G-Eazy thinks that Ashley brings him more down to earth and keeps him grounded. It's been very healthy so far and they are in a great place."
In October 2020, G-Eazy had also spoken about Benson after they worked together on his music video for ‘Hate the Way’. “She’s an exceptionally talented person in many different spaces,” he had said then. “She’s a special one. It just blew me away that you can have such a hidden, special talent that the world doesn’t get to see as often.”
In fact, in December 2020, G-Eazy professed his love for Benson in a birthday tribute. "Happy birthday beautiful [heart emoji]," G-Eazy wrote in the post. "@ashleybenson I love you to the moon & back."
Reportedly, he had shared three photos of himself and Benson in his post, including one taken outside while wearing blue surgical masks on their chins. In one of the photos, the actress could be seen kissing the rapper on the cheek on a night out with friends. G-Eazy also shared three solo shots of Benson, including one showing her holding a hot dog while standing next to a food truck and another photo of her in a room with a Christmas tree.
But G-Eazy seems to have removed all his older posts from Instagram. At the time of writing this, his Instagram account had a total of 14 posts, the earliest of which was from two weeks ago.
Break-up with Cara Delevingne
Delevingne and Benson called it quits in April 2020. At the time, sources had said that the pair was officially "moving on", adding, "Cara and Ashley always had their ups and downs before but it’s over now. Their relationship just ran its course.”
The two were first linked in May 2018 when they were seen leaving a Lauryn Hill concert together at the Apollo Theatre in New York. In September 2018, Benson sort of confirmed that she and Delevingne were together after the latter posted a photo of her at a Q&A for her and Benson’s film, ‘Her Smell’, on Instagram. And under the post, Benson had reportedly written, “mine”. Speaking about the relationship in August 2019, Delevingne said, "We weren’t looking for [love]. It was really just very authentic and natural."
