Chris Brown and G-Eazy are one of the closest buddies in the music industry and they have time and again collaborated with each other. In the past, the RnB crooner and rapper have joined hands on songs like ‘Drifting’ and ‘Wobble Up’ and have got ample love from their fans.

Now, continuing their partnership, Chris Brown and G-Eazy are all set to enthrall loyal fans with a brand new single called ‘Provide’. The track also features artiste Mark Morrison. Chris Brown had first announced the single in January on his official Instagram account while G-Eazy made it official recently. He took to his official Twitter account whilst sharing a pic of the two and captioned it as, “Should we drop "PROVIDE" on the 5th?”

Chris Brown returned the favor and re-tweeted the pic while asking his fans to pre-save the song along with an emoticon of a rocket. G-Eazy had also tweeted a pic on February 1 with a caption, “New music with my brother this week. It’s finally that time TTHT SZN.”

Release date

Though G-Eazy placed a question mark on releasing the new single on February 5, it is highly expected that the track will hit the Internet on the same day. Fans can pre-save the song here.

Concept

The multiple award-winning G-Easy had first teased his new project in January where he took to Instagram to share an uber-cool picture of his alongside rapper Chris Brown. Interestingly, he did not post any caption or hashtag to accompany the picture which further made fans impatient.

On the official poster of the song ‘Provide,’ it looks like Chris Brown and G-Eazy are gearing up for another club banger. The duo can be seen in a party mood on the cover art. Chris Brown flashes a wide smile as he sits next to G-Eazy who displays his swag while striking a pose. The duo can be seen surrounded by girls at a venue that looks nothing less than a club.

According to Rap-Up, the new single samples Mark Morrison’s ’90s classic ‘Return of the Mack’. The lyrics of the song ‘Provide’ already made it to the website Genius prior to its official release.

G-Eazy kicks-off his verse with, “Know you feel boxed in, let me get you out your mind frame, Just know I'm serious, I ain't into playin' mind games/ We could go rounds, I wanna eat it like a entrée, Favorite position, I be hittin' that all kinda ways” while Chris Brown shows his exceptional singing skills in the hook. He croons, “Ooh, just vibe with me (Vibe), I wanna do some things we never do/ Switch sides, get dry, So what? So what? I need (So what? I need)/ Don't turn down now.”

Fans can log into Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Tidal and YouTube to listen to the new single.
