Convicted fraudster Todd Chrisley would make 12 cents per hour if assigned toilet duty in prison
PENSACOLA, FLORIDA: With Todd Chrisley ordered to begin his 12-year sentence in January, it appears that he already has a job set for him at Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola. The coming new year is expected to greet the convicted fraudster down in the dumps, quite literally.
According to RadarOnline, the 'Chrisley Knows Best' star could be appointed on toilet duty in prison where he can make as little as 12 cents per hour. The inmates' hourly rates are reportedly broken up into "four different pay grade levels — $0.12, $0.17, $0.29, and $0.40," with bathroom duty claiming the lowest position on the ladder, the Federal Bureau of Prisons told the outlet. Chrisley was sentenced for defrauding banks out of $30 million and committing tax fraud with his wife Julie Chrisley, who will serve 7 years in prison from June 2023.

Confinement could take a toll on the entrepreneur who is used to his lavish lifestyle as he could be assigned to scrub inmates' feces off porcelain floors. The outlet further states that the TV personality might not be given a choice on his job when he starts his prison time at FPC Pensacola on January 17. Moreover, there is a high chance of Chrisley's first task as a new inmate will be cleaning bathrooms or washing dishes at the Florida prison.
"He'll only earn between 12 to 40 cents per hour for the grueling task," a prison source told RadarOnline. "Sentenced inmates who are physically and mentally able to work are required to participate in the work program," the Inmate Work and Performance Pay rules read.
Chrisley's daily work schedule will require him to work for a minimum of 7 hours. He "is expected to report to the place of assignment at the required time" and he "may not leave an assignment without permission," as per the outlet’s sources. "Disciplinary action may be taken," if Chrisley refuses to oblige to the assigned work.
Todd and Julie are celebrating their last and most emotional Christmas before turning themselves in. Their daughter Lindsie Chrisley planned a long-anticipated reunion. "I had my son over Thanksgiving break and with the sentencing being a couple of days prior to Thanksgiving, emotions being very high, I, unfortunately, had to make a decision as a mother over a daughter and stayed home for Thanksgiving," Lindsay told People while confirming that she had not seen her parents since their sentencing. "I do plan to spend the Christmas holiday with my parents," she added.
While Todd will serve his time at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola, his wife Julie will be about two and a half hours away at Federal Correctional Institution Marianna and they will still be able to communicate.
