'Truly afraid': Lindsie Chrisley's dad Todd threatened to reveal her sex tape if she did not lie in court
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Lindsie Chrisley, who had previously expressed being "heartbroken" to hear that her father and stepmother were being sentenced for tax evasion and fraud, was believed to be absent ever since they were given a combined 19-year prison term.
Despite the backing of other family members, Lindsie, 33, may have contributed to the sentencing of Todd, 53, and Julie Chrisley, 49, according to sources and government records obtained by DailyMail. The outlet reported that Lindsie called the Georgia Department of Revenue (GDOR), the FBI, and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department to file a report against her father despite previous denials that prompted her to testify in her father's favor. In a lengthy interview with the FBI, she detailed shocking claims of physical assault, harassment and blackmail. The most horrifying claim made by Lindsie was that her father had threatened to reveal a sex tape of her that her half-brother Chase, 26, had purchased, if she didn't falsify information for him in his trial.

The Chrisleys were reportedly observed enjoying their final few weeks of freedom before going to prison in Tennessee. Todd was seen having lunch outside, while Julie was seen going shopping with her parents and adopted children.
On January 17, they are scheduled to report to prison. Julie has been sentenced to seven years in prison, while Todd is facing 12. Earlier this week, Chase appeared to put up a "For Sale" sign outside his Franklin, Tennessee, home while being accompanied by his father, who was visibly upset.
A source stated, "Lindsie called the GDOR in 2017 after Todd and Julie had been served with their state case because she was worried about the implications for her and her child [son Jackson, 10]," according to Daily Mail. The source continued, "Then she just started saying what a horrible person her father was and how sick and tired she was of him and Julie getting away with stuff. She wanted everyone to know they were just the worst people."
The source stated, "She called regularly and spoke with Josh Waites (Director of the Office of Special Investigations at GDOR) and would give him information which he in turn would follow up on. Ultimately, she called the FBI and US Probation to report that Todd was harassing and intimidating her."
"As the investigation went on Todd suspected she had spoken and was calling her a snake and saying things like she 'needed to be careful,'" the source concluded. The FBI was contacted by Lindsie on August 13, 2019, the day Todd and Julie were indicted, and she stated that she was "truly afriad."
Lindsie wrote, "There's been some concerning things that Chase has been posting and I'm worried. Can you follow up with me. These are very suggestive – maybe I'm just truly afraid, but this is insane." She met with FBI officials in their Atlanta office later that month.
Lindsie admitted to FBI officials that she thought her father was keeping an eye on her. The source told DailyMail, "What's really sad is that after everything that happened, Todd managed to flip Lindsie and bring her back on board. Ultimately, she did exactly what he wanted her to do and testified for him and Julie."
The source stated, "She said the sex tape thing was a big misunderstanding. It was embarrassing to watch because her testimony wasn't convincing anyone." During the hearing, the court and the prosecution admonished Lindsie and were open in their accusations that she had lied under oath for her father.
The government stated, "Todd and Julie Chrisley's crime spree culminated in their attempts to obstruct the grand jury's investigation and putting up witnesses to lie for them at trial, including Todd's mother and his oldest daughter from his first marriage," as reported by the Daily Mail.
"Lindsie took the stand at trial and testified for her father and stepmother," the goverment reportedly said, adding, "Todd Chrisley succeeded in manipulating his estranged daughter, bringing her back into the family fold, and putting her on the stand at trial."
"Todd Chrisley not only tried to 'unlawfully influence' his daughter, Lindsie Chrisley; he succeeded," the goverment concluded. And it appears that he still has that impact on Lindsie, based on her most recent declarations of family unity and heartbreak.
