It has been over two years since we last caught an episode of 'So You Think You Can Dance.' Season 16 of the reality dance show ended with Bailey Muñoz winning, making him the first B-boy to win the title in the history of the show. Fortunately, the wait is over as Season 17 has premiered, with a relatively fresh panel of judges and a new set of talented contestants.

The premiere episode of 'So You Think You Can Dance' Season 17 saw six varied performances (ranging from ballet to popping), with five of them making it to the next round of the competition. While fans were elated with the return of the show, it was evident that they missed Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy. Besides, some of them weren't really fond of JoJo Siwa being on it as a judge. Read on to find out what they had to say!

'So You Think You Can Dance': Where is Season 16 winner Bailey Muñoz now?

"Really sad to see that @dizzyfeet was not asked back to #sytycd Truly wont be the same without him. Thrilled to see Twitch though but... what the hell WHERE IS THE LEGEND NIGEL," a fan tweeted. Another seconded, tweeting "I honestly think they could’ve kept Nigel and Mary but had Twitch join #SYTYCD".

It appeared some fans were not entirely pleased with JoJo Siwa being on 'So You Think You Can Dance' Season 17 as a judge, tweeting "Five minutes in, & am not a fan. I hate it for the dancers because they aren’t getting to experience the true #SYTYCD. Bring back Nigel or any of the qualified choreographers to judge. I’m sorry but JoJo is neither…wasn’t a fan when she was on Dance Moms. Hard to watch." "One dancer in and I can already say I’m not happy with the new #SYTYCD. Why is Jojo yelling? I already miss Nigel AND Mary," a fan with a similar opinion tweeted.

Fans didn't seem to take Siwa's stint on 'Dancing With The Stars' seriously, as tweets read, "I know she was (on the show). That doesn’t make someone qualified to judge #SYTYCD. Her credentials are not even on the same planet as Nigel’s and Mary’s" and "I’ve been waiting forever for ##SYTYCD to return. Where is Nigel? I could do without seeing #JojoSiwa had enough of her from #DWTS and her diva ways. One dance show don’t make you a judge".
