Weeks after headlining the Joe Biden benefit concert, it appears Foo Fighters are all set to drop their tenth studio album. The American rock band took to their official Twitter account to tease their fans with a cryptic post. With an intention to give a hint towards their fresh project, the social media post did not include many details except the hashtag which read “#LPX” along with a 32-second video.

The short black and white video snippet comes with an extreme close-up shot of a blood-red eye as one can also spot the burning flame inside the eyeball. The video is also packed with an energetic background score which amps up the teaser. The hashtag “LPX” also points towards the Roman number 10 as so far Foo Fighters have released nine albums and the latest untitled one will be their 10th full-length project.  According to NME, the band led by Dave Grohl has been silently teasing their fans about their new album on the streets as well, as the band’s initials “FF” along with the Roman letter “X” were spotted at various locations. The publication also shared an Instagram image of a fan who had spotted the graphic on Hollywood Boulevard. The user had captioned the image as, “New 10th FF ALBUM spoiler at Las Palmas x Hollywood Blv.”

The fans of Foo Fighters were also quick to react on the cryptic post. One user asked, “What does this mean someone help.” While referring to the band’s previous album, one user said, “I will be blasting Concrete and Gold tomorrow in anticipation. Foo teasers are second to none.” One shared a pic of the frontman Dave Grohl and tweeted, “finally, some good news #LPX #FooFighters” One fan added, “Yes, foo fighters gonna release a minimalist techno album. That’s the dream!!!” Another referred to their 2011 album and expressed, “If it's not as good as Wasting Light why bother.” One elated individual said, “Omg it’s so nice to feel joy again for the first time in months! First SNL, then secret messages around LA, now this.” One fan pleaded, “Release the album.......PLEASE! Need something to make 2020 bearable!”

The new untitled album by the Foo Fighters will be a follow-up to their 2017 record ‘Concrete and Gold’ which featured hit singles like ‘Run,’ ‘The Sky is a Neighborhood’ and ‘The Line.’  According to NME, Dave Grohl had confirmed in February that they had finished recording their 10th LP and talking about the same, he had previously revealed that Foos’ tenth LP was “unlike anything we’ve ever done,” adding, “There are choruses on this record that 50-f**king-thousand people are gonna sing, and it’s gonna bring everyone’s f**king hearts together in that moment and that’s what it’s all about.” It is also being reported that Foo Fighters had pushed the release of their 10th album due to the global pandemic.  Foo Fighters are also the special guests on SNL on November 7, 2020, which will be hosted by Dave Chappelle.
