Does Gus Smyrnios have Covid-19? 'Floribama Shore' star in quarantine after he goes missing for hours
Gus Smyrnios flew into a rage over a hairdryer fight with Candace Rice. The 'Floribama Shore' star refused to own up to his mistake and said that if she wanted the dryer that much she should have just asked for it instead of throwing a hissy fit a week after it went missing. Usually, Codi Butts and Kirk Medas are with him, but this time he was fighting his battle alone and that stung him, following which he ran away.
From what we know so far, the production crew and cast members split into groups and went looking for him around the town. When Gus returned, he had to self-quarantine because that was the only way to ensure everyone was safe, including his friends at the lodge. But Covid-19 still found its way into the team, which impacted the filming schedule heavily because it had to be paused for two weeks. Was it Gus who caught the virus and spread it? Unlikely.

Late November 2020, a team member reportedly tested positive for Covid-19, following which the production was shut down. The whole bunch had to quarantine themselves at Lake Havasu, AZ. "The set follows rigorous COVID-19 safety protocols including contract tracing," a source close to production told People and added: "Out of an abundance of caution, production is shutting down for two weeks."
'Floribama Shore' will premiere a supersized episode on March 25, which will document Gus's rage run followed by an intense missing person search initiated by his friends on the show. Even though most have not appreciated Gus's several outbursts in the few days they have been at the lodge, they were worried. The hostile environment was not serving Gus well and running away from it was a wise move, only if he hadn't done it the way he did it. Hopefully, the time off will allow him to reflect on the things he has done and said, help him course correct and get back stronger.
Meanwhile, fans have expressed concern over Gus's recent behavior on the show. "Prayers you are doing better at life then what we are seeing on TV," one user commented on the reality TV star's latest Instagram post, while another wrote: "Send him back home, he needs help."
"I just hope you’re in a better place than you were during filming bc honestly it’s hard to watch," a viewer posted. "It’s sad to see you going through something this season. Hope it gets better for you," a fan shared.
