Republican Rep Lauren Boebert is often seen giving bizarre statements against gun control. It’s not surprising that Boebert would do anything in her power to avoid the topic of gun control. After all, she’s a fan of guns, big time. She even owns a restaurant where staff is encouraged to open-carry firearms. Mass shootings are unfortunately a regular occurrence in the US now. And, since the Uvalde elementary school mass shooting which claimed the lives of 19 children and two teachers, there have been 32 shootings. It seems like there's no end in sight.

Republicans have been seen offering a myriad number of solutions for gun laws or offering absurd defenses to them. And, apparently, the Colorado lawmaker also has something to say for it and once again she is a subject of online mockery when she weighed in on the gun control debate. Boebert took to Twitter to write: "If your Representative thinks AR stands for ‘Assault Rifle’, FIRE THEM!” And then hell broke loose on her Twitter timeline.

Earlier after the Texas school shooting, Boebert gave her statement that she doesn't support greater gun control laws. She said in the statement, "When 9/11 happened, we didn't ban planes. We secured the cockpit." And, said that she wanted increased security in schools, rather than gun rights reform. "I want our schools secured. I want their children protected, and I want teachers that can protect themselves and their students. And do you know what? We can achieve this without trying to disarm law-abiding citizens," she said.

As for Boebert, she’s demonstrated again and again that she’s not one for learning. So when she tweeted about ignorant representatives and her problem with the meaning of AR, it was only a matter of time before people slammed her. AR in AR-15 assault rifles does not stand for “assault rifle.” It means “ArmaLite” after the company that designed the guns. Boebert is angry about its mistaken usage.

Social media posted jibes at her, mocking her for views on gun control, while some brought in her personal life as well. "If your representative failed the GED three times while married to a sex offender, FIRE HER!," a user wrote. "If your Representative cares more about people knowing the correct name of an ArmaLite Rifle than they do about children being slaughtered by one, FIRE THEM!," another user wrote.

Sports Journalist and commentator Keith Olbermann wrote, "If your representative participates in a coup and defends shooting children FIRE HER." One user wrote, "If your rep cares more about guns than the lives of living, breathing humans, FIRE HER!"
