'Who do you think you are?': Whoopi Goldberg slams Lauren Boebert for HECKLING Biden at SOTU

'You don't have to like this president to be respectful of him talking about the military and his son, who died. You don't have to like him, but you must be respectful. You gotta be,' said Goldberg

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert was booed on Tuesday after she heckled President Joe Biden during his State of the Union address. Biden was talking about fallen soldiers and the death of his own son when Boebert interrupted and shouted, "You put them in there, 13 of them," blaming him for the deaths of the 13 troops in Afghanistan.

When Biden said he plans to "secure the border and fix the immigration system," Boebert chanted, "Build the Wall," in reference to Trump's US-Mexico border wall. Actress and comedian Whoopi Goldberg has slammed the 35-year-old for her inappropriate behavior. During a discussion on 'The View,' the 66-year-old schooled Boebert and called her a 'little girl' for not being respectful towards the President and for interrupting his speech with her shouting.

"I have to say, you're probably about 35 years old and maybe you don't understand that a whole lot of folks of the last 7 or 8 years have been sent to their death for no good reason. Soldiers know what's coming, they don't want to die. And what you should do, is you should have let him say what he had to say. And if you were going to yell something at him, just hold off, hold off. But don't do it there because we're all trying to hear it. And now we're talking about you instead of what he had to say," said Goldberg.

The award-winning comedian slammed Boebert and added, "Let me point something else out. In 2020, she opposed a bill to fund the military. Because she didn't like Democratic politics. Now, don't talk about the military unless you really want to talk about the military. You can't do what they do. That's why we revere them – because they do the stuff we can't do. And the minute you poop on them, you poop on them like the last guy [Donald Trump] did, talking about those gold star families, talking about Mr. McCain as not being a hero," said Goldberg.

"Who the hell do you think you are, little girl? Who do you think you are? You know. You don't have to–you don't have to like this president to be respectful of him talking about the military and his son, who died. You don't have to do that. You don't have to like him, but you must be respectful. You gotta be," she concluded.

Meanwhile, after the incident, Boebert tweeted, "When Biden said flag draped coffins I couldn't stay silent. I told him directly he did it. He put 13 in there. Our heroic servicemen and women deserve so much better." But she was heavily trolled and called a 'disgrace' for her behavior during the address.
