Spoilers for 'Filthy Rich' Episode 6 'Hebrews 9:15

This episode of 'Filthy Rich' seemed to revolve around shady business as we learn of the aftermath of Governor Virgil Love's sacrilegious tape that was recorded by Ginger Sweet. Of course, this doesn't mean that with one man of the 1820 down, all is well when it comes to the Monreaux family. Margaret finds that perfume bottles that were supposed to be in a warehouse have gone missing, Luke and Ginger try to figure out what to do with the recording of her kidnapping and Eric takes a stand against Reverend Paul Luke Thomas.

The person behind Margaret's empty warehouse was Townes Dockerty (Carl Palmer), who owns the perfume factories in Louisiana. Of course, this was revenge considering Margaret's goal was to bring Love down and try to keep Eric away from 1820. But in that process, she also hurt Ginger's adult website business because now customers will believe that they are being recorded and won't trust the girls. This though doesn't seem to be their biggest issue because Ginger finds a way to let Margaret offer a way of making amends.

Ginger has had enough of this family, but we have to say we're tired of her reactions. It's like she wants the money that Eugene left her, but she wants it her way, which by now she should know isn't possible with 1820 running around threatening people. Speaking of 1820, even Antonio's mother Yopi (Alanna Ubach), who was in that tape with Love, was threatened by Don Bouchard (Kenny Alfonso) who says that if she plays him like she did Love, she had another thing coming.

As for Margaret, her problems only escalate when Townes ends up in an office at the Sunshine Network’s HQ only to find out that the man had bought Love's stalk. This means he's going be around. Paul also makes it clear that any decisions regarding the network have to go through him and Townes. We all know that Margaret isn't going to take this laying down and decides to call Veronica (Gia Carides), Townes wife, who in fact owns half of her husband's shares.

While she tries to set up a lunch with Veronica, Margaret's troubles continue to grow when Franklin gets a call from Luke saying that he was about to write an "expose" on Margaret’s involvement in criminal activities with these so-called powerful investors. Either way, at lunch Margaret finds out that Veronica gave Townes the money to buy Love's shares. With this information, Margaret had the upper hand and tells Veronica that she wants a 10-year lease on one of Veronica’s Alabama factories. Veronica agrees after a bit of hesitation as long as Margaret won't go after her husband. Here is where Margaret finds out about Luke's expose, courtesy of her friend and confidant Franklin. Luke wants to find out how Margaret, who is a female CEO, is putting up with the abuse of women?

Margaret finds out from Luke, that Tina (Rachel York), Ginger's mother had been harassed by 1820 on her watch — Margaret was unaware. The topic of systemic abuse worked its way into the conversation, with Margaret telling Luke that he needs to look into Townes. She also offered proof of Townes's abuse and told Luke that he was the one who had most likely sent Hagamond Sheen (Thomas Francis Murphy) to scare Tina. To be fair, Margaret also had no idea that Ginger was kidnapped by Hagamond during Mardi Gras.

We also find out that Hagamond has been a part of 1820 for over two decades and had a murder charge on his record. Ironically, Paul ends up firing Hagamond who dishes out the threat that he's a "witness", not a "liability." Meanwhile, breaking news hits where Margaret is called out on abuse of women for 25 years, not to mention Ginger's kidnapping tape plays on the news. Margaret asks Ginger to go on air and clear her name saying she's not guilty of the crimes the news had implicated her in with a $6M payoff, of course. As for Luke, Franklin tells him that he would kill him if he wrote another story on Margaret again.

Cue in a dead body. Paul finds a dead Townes at his home and thinks that Townes committed suicide only to hear Hagamond say, "Carry on the false prophet. Carry on.”

If there was an episode that ever proved that Margaret's life is going to be wrecked by 1820, it was this one. She might win small battles, but we highly doubt she'd win the war. 1820 seems to have eyes and ears in many places, and now with one exposed (Love) and another dead (Townes), Margaret's life isn't going to get any easier. Not to mention, she has Ginger who doesn't trust her, Luke who won't stop digging, and Paul who will stop at nothing to get his claws into the Monreaux inheritance.

This episode, although slow, had very interesting plotlines and immense character development. It was a slow episode, but considering the series is canceled for Season 2, we're going to cherish all the twists and turns it's currently offering. We think that the Ginger-Margaret narrative is played off too much, and now with Margaret seemingly taking the 1820 head-on, things will get way more interesting. She also now has Eric and Rose on her side, at least when it comes to 1820. So, will Margaret win in her fight to take down 1820? Not anytime soon, we say.

Episode 7 airs on Monday, November 9, from 9-10 pm ET on FOX.
