Fetty Wap was one of the hottest rappers on the block in the year 2015 but he soon vanished and got engulfed in other controversies as his rap career took a backseat. The ‘My Way’ hitmaker, however, made his much-deserving comeback with the help of his second album called ‘The Butterfly Effect’ on Friday, October 22, and quickly broke the Internet.
 
The 30-year-old rapper’ sophomore album created quite a buzz on the Internet as hip-hop fans discussed his comeback after six years. Fetty Wap had dropped his self-titled debut album in the year 2015. The album was best known for its singles like ‘679’ featuring Remy Boyz, ‘My Way’ featuring Monty, and ‘Again’. The song ‘Trap Queen’ from the same project scooped two Grammy Award nominations. Speaking of new Friday releases, artists like Big Sean, Lana Del Rey, The Weeknd were among the top streaming musicians.

Fetty Wap makes a comeback after six years

Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, had announced the album on October 13 on his Instagram account where he enjoys seven million followers. The New Jersey native had also shared the cover art of the album on Instagram which is a huge golden butterfly with a black backdrop. Fetty Wap’s latest full-length project is stacked with 17 songs with no features at all. The rapper’s latest record is his first big project since 2015. He had dropped a mixtape called ‘You Know The Vibes’ in December 2020 but it failed to make any noise on the charts.  You can listen to his full album here.

‘Fetty Wap dropped a dope a** album’, claims Twitter

Hip-hop fans were enthralled with the release of Fetty Wap’s brand new studio effort. “Oh wow Fetty Wap back he bout to take over the radio again watch”, said one fan as another posted, “This new fetty wap kinda going I ain’t gonna lie.” One added, “Never thought I'd hear @fettywap rap over an @88rising sample. Song and rest of album is class.” The next one shared, “I'm in love with this new fetty wap album.”
 
One user tweeted, “Fetty Wap dropped a dope a** album!! So much pain! you can feel everything bro been going through, through his music. The name of the album is so beautiful especially if you know the significance of it.” Meanwhile, another mentioned, “Yooo does this mean Fetty Wap got the hardest drop of the day?
