A new trailer for the upcoming 'Fast & Furious' movie was released this Friday and it debuts the official title while featuring the return of familiar faces. Titled 'F9', or 'Fast & Furious 9', the movie is the ninth in the series and is being directed by returning director, Justin Lin.

The trailer debuted during the 'The Road to F9' concert held in Miami which was streamed live for fans via YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The event was hosted by Tyrese Gibson and Maria Menounos. The concert featured performances by Wiz Khalifa, Charlie Puth, and Ludacris. Cardi B and Ozuna also performed -- both artists are joining the franchise in 'F9'.

The trailer starts by showing Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) living on a farm and raising their son, Brian -- named after the late Paul Walker's character in the series. Dominic says, "Now that I’m a father, I can’t live my life a quarter-mile at a time anymore," and yet, he manages to get pulled into the action again.

This time, the antagonist that pulls Dominic back into the "quarter-mile" life is Jacob -- played by John Cena -- and it is revealed in the first trailer itself that Jacob is Dominic's "little brother". Jacob is "a master thief, assassin, high-performance driver," but he's got someone pulling his strings -- returning villain, Cipher (played by Charlize Theron).

Along with Theron, the ninth film features multiple returning faces including Helen Mirren as Magdalene Shaw, Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto, and -- in a surprise reveal -- Sung Kang as Han Lue -- who was thought to have been killed by Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) in 'The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift'.

For years, fans had demanded justice for the character of Han -- who was a part of Dominic's crew before his death in the third film. After Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw got to become a hero in later films -- one that also included an eponymously titled spinoff film ('Hobbs & Shaw'), fans were disappointed that Shaw got away with Han's death. It looks like, however, Han made his escape, much to fans' delights.

Of course, as with the 'Fast & Furious' tradition, the stunts are bigger in scale and more unbelievable this year. For one, there is a magnetic plane piloted by Cipher that picks up Jacob's car as he launches off a cliff with Dominic chasing him. Dominic follows, but he has unconventional methods keeping him adrift as well.

Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto has also potentially built up Superman-like powers as he (or another bald person, but that's unlikely) flips a car with a slap while standing on another side-turned and skidding car.

The movie also features some new rides for the characters. Some of the new cars include a Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody, a Pontiac Fiero creatively fitted with a rocket and Han's new ride, the latest Toyota Supra.

'F9' is set to release theatrically on May 22, 2020. Watch the trailer for the film below:
