The trailer for 'Fast 9' has been riveting and frankly, unbelievable. In addition to John Cena showing up as Dominic Torretto's (Vin Diesel) brother, they also brought back Han Lue (Sung Kang) with an epic tagline "Justice is coming". And now, actor and musician Ludacris, who plays Tej Parker in the franchise, hinted that 'F9' is headed to space. Guess for these guys, even space isn't the limit.

According to Fandom, the tweet read: "Ludacris hints that 'Fast 9' is headed to space. 'You just said something very important. I will say that you are very intuitive because you said something right' — When asked about the plot point (via @SIRIUSXM | http://bit.ly/3iPPclF)." This though raised plenty of eyebrows from fans who had mixed opinions about where the franchise was going.

"Fast 10 will be time travel??" a fan mocked. "Just kill the franchise already... I mean seriously," a fan lamented. "Welp... you know when a franchise has hit its peak when they do an 'in space' film," one of the tweets read. "This gonna be Vin Diesal whipping the Challenger over Skrullos when the Dire Wraiths attack Earth and Hibbs recruit the Fast and Furious crew as the last line of defense," a fan wrote.

"I feel like the fast and furious franchise is the modern-day version of classic slasher franchises just continuously making sequels weirder and weirder and out there," one of the fans remarked. Over the years, the franchise has seen some highly incredible, but insanely mind-boggling action sequences. Be it driving a Lykan Hypersport and jumping from one building to another, or taking down a plane with a shotgun, or carrying a huge vault filled with money across Brazil, and now they're going for some space blam.

"Anyone who is still watching this franchise for a plot has completely missed the point. If you want to take it to outer space, then take it there," a fan tweeted. "LMFAO this was a joke on @doubletoasted_ guess they predicted it. This isn't the first time they predicted something like this," one fan pointed out. The best tweet, however: "What role is @elonmusk playing?"

The film originally slated to release this year was pushed to April 2, 2021, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
