Is Lisa Bonet 'still in love' with Lenny Kravitz? Fans want exes to reunite

Fans want veteran actress Lisa Bonet to get back with her ex-husband, singer Lenny Kravitz, after she and fellow actor Jason Momoa announced their split after four years of marriage earlier this week.

Bonet, 54, popularly known for her role as the carefree older sister Denise Huxtable on the hit sitcom 'The Cosby Show,' said in a joint statement posted to 42-year-old Momoa's Instagram, “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring.”

Bonet and Momoa had been together since 2005, after being introduced to each other by mutual friends at a jazz club. The former couple said they were sharing the update  “not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives, we may do so with dignity and honesty.” The two still appear to be on good terms following the breakup, writing, “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become…."

Bonet and Momoa share two children, Lola, who was born in 2007, and Nakoa-Wolf, who they welcomed in 2008. Meanwhile, Bonet is also mom to 'Little Big Things' star Zoë Kravitz, 33, her daughter with ex-husband Kravitz. Following the news of the split, fans inundated social media with calls for Bonet and Kravitz to get back together.

"I think Lisa is still “in love” with Lenny, I mean, like “deep, deep down” kinda in love. But, I’m still in shock of her & Jason," one tweeted.

"My prayer is that Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz will remarry and that Jason Momoa will marry them and serve as Lenny's best man. This is the only option to make us ALL happy... Right?" another added.

"After hearing that Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet are breaking up, all of us are hoping Lenny Kravitz will finally win her back again," a comment read.

"So … are Jason Momoa and Lenny Kravitz still gonna be besties if Lisa Bonet hooks back up with Lenny?" another wondered.

"Is Lenny Kravitz prepping to get Lisa Bonet back? Looking like a subtweet to me…," retweeting a gracious post by Kravitz on January 12," someone else added.

"On a serious thought, if Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz FINALLY get back together now that Jason is out the way, I think I will be happy forever. It'd be like my childhood dream couple coming back in real life," another chimed in.

Kravitz met Bonet during a New Edition concert in the mid-1980s. At the time, Bonet was already a well-established star on ‘The Cosby Show’ while Kravitz was still struggling to make a career. He told Rolling Stone in an interview from 1995, “She was like a female version of me. That woman inspired me so much. It was a magical time that she and I shared. I just opened up artistically.” The press even referred to him as “Mr. Bonet” at the time, owing to the popularity of his lady love. However, Kravitz was engaged to another woman named Ming See Lau when he first developed feelings for Bonet. Eventually, when he was realized he was simply “obsessed” with Bonet, he called off his engagement with Ming See. 

Kravitz and Bonet soon grew into a romantic couple from just friends and roommates. They eloped in 1987 on Bonet’s birthday to Las Vegas and welcomed their daughter Zoe in 1988. Despite setting major relationship goals and falling head over heels in love with each other, the couple separated in 1991 and got divorced in 1993.
