Jason Momoa supporting Amber Heard through Zoe Kravitz scandal may have been too much for Lisa Bonet

Amber Heard had slammed Zoe Kravitz after she backed Johnny Depp when he landed a role in 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald'

Jason Momoa has blamed 'the squeeze and changes of these transformational times' as the reason behind him calling it quits from his 16-year-long marriage with Lisa Bonet. However, a number of unconfirmed reports have created quite a buzz on social media, suggesting the 'Aquaman' actor's continued support for his co-star Amber Heard, despite the latter publicly going after his stepdaughter Zoe Kravitz, might have been too much to bear for Bonet. 

Back in 2018, when the feud between Heard and her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, was all over the news and the latter's career was in tatters he was saved by his friend JK Rowling, who chose to cast him as villainous Grindelwald in the movie 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.' 

When asked in an interview if she was excited about working with Depp on the movie, Kravitz, Bonet's daughter from her first marriage to Lenny Kravitz, said that she was "stoked" because she was a "fan". She also said that she was not bothered by the backlash that Depp has received after being cast in the film after being accused of domestic violence by his ex-spouse. "I also believe in second chances for certain people, depending on what we are talking about," Kravitz said.

Amber Heard slammed Zoe Kravitz

Although Kravitz did not say much about Depp, Heard took offense to her interview and tweeted saying, "Reading @ZoeKravitz interview reminds me just how desperately we need to know actual 'heroes'."

At the time Heard was bashed online for going after Kravitz. "Find yourself a hobby Amber instead of criticizing everyone and everything around. It's boring," one of the users wrote, while another said, "People desperately need to know how actually you are. If he’s her idol it’s for a reason,it means that she knows him. Just stop." A third commented, "Aww you mad that she likes Johnny? You really thought you had everybody convinced with your antics and fake activism, didn't you?" The next remarked, "Now you try to intimidate Zoe. @realamberheard, you're really a sick person of hate." A commenter tweeted, "Johnny Depp and Zoe Kravitz are heroes. Amber Heard is an evil witch." A person reacted with "Despite the fact that you have no power you are in a real powertrip shading beyonce and now Zoe and Johnny. Your mental issues are increasing, you need professional help #realamberheard"

Was Lisa Bonet jealous of Amber Heard?

Even though many of Depp's fans called out Heard for going after Kravitz, Momoa continued to maintain his silence against his 'Aquaman' costar. Earlier this month there were rumors of Depp's ex-wife flirting with the 'Justice League' actor on the sets of 'Aquaman' 2, which was apparently making Bonet jealous. Apparently, she wanted the pair to maintain distance as she had her doubts that Heard would do absolutely anything to advance her career. If this was indeed the case, it was never proven as there was never any kind of public outrage shown by her. 

There were reports that Bonet was friends with Depp, who continues to accuse Heard of domestic violence and has even filed a $50 million defamation suit against her after she branded him a "wife-beater." Reportedly, Bonet's concerns regarding her marriage arose from the actress’s history of getting entangled with male performers with whom she has acted in the past, one of them being her former husband, with whom she co-starred in 'The Rum Diary.'
