FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE: Losing a pet is a heartbreaking experience that many pet owners face at some point in their lives. The death of a pet can be a traumatic experience, and many pet owners struggle to cope with the loss. Real estate investors Christina Hall and her husband, Josh Hall, lost their pet chicken Bennifer. Christina shared the news on her Instagram handle and that left a lot of people heartbroken at the news.
Christina posted a throwback picture where she posed with her husband Josh Hall, daughter Taylor and son Brayden, whom she shares with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, inside of a chicken coop. They were also seen building the chicken coop as part of her new show, to welcome Bennifer, just last month.

Christina and Josh Hall's pet chicken Bennifer
With a heavy heart, Christina took to Instagram to share the tragic news of her beloved pet Bennifer's death. The HGTV star recounted the heart-wrenching discovery made by her husband Josh. "Josh was in Tennessee last weekend and found a pile of feathers," she explained. "And unfortunately they were his [Bennifer's]." The emotional tribute featured a series of photos, including a throwback image of Christina holding Bennifer. The image captured the love and joy she had for her cherished pet, while another photo showed her cuddling with the fowl. A video was also included, featuring Christina and Josh's three-year-old son Hudson sweetly holding Bennifer, a touching moment that tugged at the heartstrings.
In a heart-warming display of love and solidarity, Christina's current husband Josh, and her two children, Taylor and Brayden, posed alongside her in a chicken coop to honor Bennifer's memory. The emotional tribute ended with a solo snap of the beautiful bird, further highlighting the deep bond she had formed with her feathered friend. Reflecting on her love for Bennifer, Christina expressed, "Never thought I could be so attached to a chicken, but this was one special chicken. Bennifer was the only chicken who was eaten out of all 16 of our chickens. Ben you'll be missed."
'Oh no this is so sad'
The news of Bennifer's death left many of Christina's followers sad and heartbroken. One said, "Sorry for your chickens, we easily get attached to our pets and that's why it's sad. Hope that the children are handling it well and celebrating the chickens remaining." Another added, "Awwwww I'm sorry! We all definitely love our chickens.
