'Christina in the Country': Fans slam Christina Hall's Tennessee flip, say 'she's used to expensive dumps'
FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE: In the newest episode of 'Christina in the Country,' Christina Hall and her husband, Joshua Hall, explore a ruined property. Fans are disappointed because they feel Christina is not suitable for the Country as she is used to flipping properties in big cities like California.
Christina enjoys a good challenge when it comes to flipping houses. The home remodeling expert scouts out a prospective fixer-upper with her husband Josh in the latest episode of 'Christina in the Country,' and it's undoubtedly one of the harsher flips she's seen in her career. "Oh my god," the HGTV actress exclaims as she and Josh arrive at the abandoned house. Christina wonders, as images of a trash-filled living room and kitchen move across the screen, "What happened here?"

The property's realtor, who also happens to be Christina's client, reveals that the previous owner died more than a year ago, and someone "squatted and ransacked the house" until it was utterly wrecked. "I probably walked through over 200 houses and this is one of the worst. This is horrible," Christina replies, before adding with a smile, "I love it."
Christina discusses how she's been waiting to take on a difficult flip since settling down in Tennessee after getting a thorough tour of the fixer-upper. "We've been talking about a project like this the whole time that we've been here and just waiting for the perfect one," she says. "This house is definitely bad, but I've done a lot of flips before, and one thing it does have is potential."
Afterward, in the episode, which aired on Thursday, January 19, the designer stated that she will be doing the flip with Josh, but construction won't start for another six to twelve months. "And she's not patient," Josh quips.
Seeing Christina react to the house, viewers didn't hold back. One took to Twitter and wrote, "Christina is used to ridiculously expensive dumps since she used to flip houses in California...with that 10 acre lot, compared to Cali, this place is a bargain just based on the land value!" Hearing the valuation of the property, a shocked viewer wrote, "$700K in that condition. Wow." Fans also criticized her career move as they quip, "So...Christina left her and Tarek's very successful flipping business cuz she was tired of flipping houses... ...only to move to Tennessee...to flip houses..." Even the transformation of the house left the viewers dissatisfied, as one wrote, "BORING!" Another viewer added, " I still can't believe she left California for Tennessee."
