Fans believe Jimmy Kimmel exposed Guillermo del Toro's 'secret' friendship as he gets candid on talk show
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jimmy Kimmel, who is basking in the success of his Oscar presentation, recently took to his social media to spill a “secret.” The eponymous host of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ posted a short clip from the show where the Oscar winning director, Guillermo del Toro, can be seen in the talk show.
Kimmel showed a picture of del Toro, Steven Spielberg and JJ Abrams going “hobby shopping,” which culminated in del Toro sharing many interesting facts. The 95th Oscar host who recently distributed snacks to the guests during the award, shared the clip on Instagram with the caption, “Guillermo del Toro, Steven Spielberg and @JJAbramsOfficial go hobby shopping together!"

The 'secret' triad
In the clip, taking out a photograph of del Toro, Spielberg, and Abrams, a visibly flabbergasted Kimmel can be seen asking the ‘Best Animated Feature’, Oscar winner, “What are you guys buying?” referring to the picture. To which the ‘Pinocchio’ filmmaker replied, they were there to get “hobby kits” and “model kits.” On being asked about how the three talented directors are together, del Toro could be found confessing, “Well, we get together now and then on Sundays” before adding he has a penchant for painting “mostly cadavers and monsters.” He also added that Abrams “paints things like psycho house.”
Later, del Toro also joked about being in Hollywood and being surrounded by models. He said, “You go to Hollywood, you’re a big director, you’ll be surrounded by models” and added adding, they are instead surrounded by a “skeleton” or a “tank.” He further added that the directors pay for their own "pile" before complainig that Abrams still owes him $7.

The Internet loved the interview and shared online, "Very down to earth peeps. Love Guillermo too." While another fan added, "Why I feel like Jimmy exposed a secret?" "What a great guy," quipped in another. People even hilariously tagged Abram's daughter, singer Gracie to ask her father to pay del Toro the "$7" back, and wrote "@gracieabrams please tell ur dad to pay Guillermo back."
