What do you do when you purchase a new car? Take it for a spin?  Well, that’s not the case for Brian Benni, the cast-member of Bravo’s upcoming reality show ‘Family Karma’. Set in Miami, 'Family Karma' gives a sneak-peek into the lives of seven second-generation Indian-Americans, who are trying to live their best in the USA while still trying to achieve their American dream.

The preview clip released for promoting the show features Brian and his mother wanting to get his swanky new car “blessed”. If you thought, this means posting a selfie with the car, and captioning it as #blessed, you couldn’t be more wrong. Brian’s mother takes him to a temple, where a priest performs a small religious ceremony, which according to his mother will “protect it from all exterior danger”.

The brief ceremony involves the priest rubbing some vermilion on the car’s wheel rim. When Brian sees the priest doing that, he freaks out and asks his mother if it will come off, and his mother assures him that it will. Later he is made to drive on a wedge of lemon to ward off evil eyes. Brian later reveals in his green room interview that he has finally embraced his Indian heritage and isn’t hesitant about it anymore. He explains how growing up he used to be uncomfortable and conscious of it, but now he is proud of it.

Aside from Brian, the show follows Shaan Patel, Bali Chainani, Anisha Ramakrishna, Monica Vaswani, Vishal Parvani and Amrit Kapai. Bravo describes the show as, "Growing up in traditional, multigenerational households, the group is bonded by their strong cultural ties and vibrant Miami social lives. While their parents and grandparents instill cherished customs, these adult children are drifting more towards the 'American Way', and the two worlds collide in the most unexpected ways."

'Family Karma' premieres on Sunday, March 8 at 9 pm ET/PT on Bravo, following which you can catch new episodes every Sunday at 9 pm ET/PT on Bravo.
