Will Ezra Miller be jailed? 'The Flash' star arrested after he goes on rampage in Hawaii bar
'The Flash' star Ezra Miller was briefly arrested by police in Hawaii on March 27, 2022. According to reports, the star is now out on bail but is facing two charges following an incident at a karaoke bar on the island. The 29-year-old will next be seen on screens in 'Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore', where he reprises his role as Credence Barebone. The movie is set to release on April 15 in the USA.
Miller rose to fame in 2016, after starring in two major productions that year - 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' as Barry Allen/The Flash. He also made a quick cameo in 'Suicide Squad' the same year. He's now set to get his own film with 'The Flash', rumored to be DC's attempt to bring back old Batman actor Michael Keaton while phasing out Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill.

Whether or not that is true, we will have to wait a long time to find out. 'The Flash' has been pushed back from fall 2022 to June 2023. The delay could also help DC's publicity, by giving it time to respond if Miller should be in legal trouble over his actions in Hawaii.
Why was Ezra Miller arrested?
According to Comicbook.com, Miller was arrested on March 27 following a violent outburst at a karaoke bar in Honolulu. "During the course of their investigation, police determined that the man, later identified as Ezra Miller, became agitated while patrons at the bar began singing karaoke," a statement by police said. Reportedly, Miller "began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke" and then "lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts."
The bar owner reportedly tried to get the actor to calm down several times but to no avail. After investigating, South Hilo police officers slapped Miller with disorderly conduct and harassment charges. He was briefly detained as well, before being released on a $500 bail. It's unclear at the moment what prompted Miller to act the way he did, but from the statement, it appears as if the karaoke singing was the reason.
It isn't the first time Miller has been caught acting violently at a bar. In April 2020, one video went viral showing Miller choking a woman at a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland. That incident occurred after a group of eager fans approached Miller, and were reported to be "quite pushy". Things then quickly escalated, before Miller was removed from the bar.
It's unclear what Miller was doing in Hawaii at the time of his arrest. After wrapping up work on 'The Flash', the actor is now working on 'Daliland', a movie about acclaimed painter Salvador Dalí. Miller plays a younger version of Dali, while Sir Ben Kingsley plays an older version of the painter. The movie is currently in post-production, with a release date yet to be confirmed.
