'Extreme Love': Fans refuse to accept married first cousins Angela and Michael, call them 'disgusting'
'Extreme Love' returned on Friday night, and tonight the series introduced us to first cousins, who are not only in love, but who are also married.
Michael Lee and Angela Paeng, who grew up together in Utah, have known each other their whole lives and are head over heels in love with each other. Michael's mom and Angela's dad are siblings, making this extreme couple, first cousins. They shared that they were attracted to each other since they were 7-years-old when they were dancing in a closet and ended up kissing each other.
They did get caught, and their family tried to keep them apart, but that didn't stop Michael and Angela. They were each other's first crush and first kiss. After their family separated the two, both went to marry different people. Angela has kids from her first marriage, but Michael doesn't. After both got divorced from their partners, they met at their grandmother's party and hit it off again.
Angela revealed she had a sex dream about Michael but was afraid that he didn't feel the same way. But now the couple is happily married. Though it is illegal in Utah, the couple went to Colorado and got married where it is legal. Six months ago the couple was also expecting their first child together, but sadly the doctor didn't find a heartbeat.
In Utah, if first cousins are caught having sexual relations, they can face up to five years in prison. Despite all that, they are still fighting for their marriage to be legal, so they can have a baby and not face any issues. Since they are from a tight-knit family, the couple tried to reconcile with their first cousin who hates their relationship more than anyone else in the family.
Cathy agreed to meet the couple in Wyoming and after they traveled all the way to seek her approval, she didn't give it to them claiming it they were 'disgusting and gross' and worse than a toilet. Despite that, the couple are now trying to get the right number of signatures so the state can pass a law that will accept their marriage as legal.
The couple is also expecting a baby in May 2020 after a genetic test proved that they weren't carrying any disease that would create problems for their offspring. Taking to Twitter post the episode, most fans are not in favor of this couple calling them 'gross and weird'.
