Margret finds Gus' picture on Christopher's phone suspicious
As we know, Margaret has been deeply upset since Gus disappeared, and despite putting on a brave face, she's dealing with a lot. A recent discovery, however, brings a glimmer of hope.
In a conversation with Hillary Starr (Sarayu Blue), Margaret raises concerns about Gus' photo appearing on the phone of Hillary's late neighbor, Christopher Murry ( (Barry O'Rorke).
Despite Margaret's worries, Hillary doesn't think there's any connection and dismisses it. Margaret tries to explain that the police are considering the possibility that someone they know might be involved, suggesting Murry's link to Gus's disappearance.
However, Hillary remains unconvinced, chalking it up to Margaret overthinking the situation.
Margaret seeks Hillary Starr's assistance in breaking into Christopher's house
As her suspicion of Christopher's involvement grows, Margaret decides to investigate it personally. She decides to break into Christopher's home and asks Hillary for help.
Hillary flatly declines, but Margaret presses her, telling her that she will never understand her suffering because she is childless. Astonished by her words, Hillary yields and gives Margaret the house keys.
Margaret quickly grabs the keys and heads to Murry's house to look for clues. As she frantically rifles through the house, she is startled to find a picture of Thailand Beach, the same beach she and her family had visited on vacation.
Certain that Christopher was involved in Gus's disappearance, Margaret rushes to Clarke (Brian Tee) with her suspicions. However, her hopes are shattered when Clarke informs her that the police discovered the lifeless body of a child resembling Gus, seeking identification.
Overwhelmed with grief, Margaret turns the photo around only to find out it's a telegram from a woman named Jenny to Murry. This revelation suggests that Murry didn't go to the beach and had no connection to Gus's disappearance.
'Expats' is now streaming on Prime Video.
