EXO releases concept video 'FILM: KAI' from Kai's upcoming solo album, fans say it is 'just like a movie'

From a nostalgic yearning wrapped in old-world charm, a beautiful retro concept to a Dystopian future, Kai is embodying a dynamic persona throughout the video while showing his signature moves

Kai’s first solo album ‘KAI’ is dropping in three days and prior to that, Kai has dropped a mini-preview of all six songs with a concept video 'FILM: KAI' and fans are calling it nothing less than a movie.

FILM: KAI shows Kai in different locations narrating an elaborate journey who is going from his past to the future with the album. From a nostalgic yearning wrapped in old-world charm, a beautiful retro concept to a Dystopian future, Kai is embodying a dynamic persona throughout the video while also showing his signature sharp moves. From the teaser photos and the film, the album is likely to have a dark genre of R&B with a splash of pop and catchy grooves. 

EXO fans are totally in love with the concept as they took to Twitter to show their excitement. “Kai film is on another level. Like he brought it to such a huge scale. Who's doing it like him.” Another fan said, “Okay but Nothing on me >>>>> Film : Kai is so good from the visual to the music to the dance everything os perfect can't wait for the actual mv.”

A fan posted, “I don't know how could you use words to describe everything about the kai film so easily because all I can do is screaming internally and lose my mind!” Followed by another mindblown fan, “Everything about Kai is perfect. Everything about his film is perfect. I almost feel aesthetically overwhelmed, there is so much grace and storytelling in every movement every shot. This man is a beautiful, beautiful piece of art.”

The unique narrative and cinematic brilliance of the film is also getting praised by Journalists. Tamar Herman wrote, “This is art” while Katie Halliwell stated, “Hollywood canceled all their big movie shoots this year and kai said don’t worry i’ll pick up the slack.”

A fan wrote, “it will be like a movie” YES SIR” Another fan talked about the Gotham-esque influence behind some parts of the film stating, “for #Hello_Stranger i love the set & the look/styling for Kai, it reminds me of Batman movies of the 90s, the Gotham City-esque vibes. The guitar sound stays on your mind, and actor Jongin's skills are displayed here, I'm curious to know more.”
