EXO's Baekhyun defends Chanyeol over cheating allegations, calls accuser 'mosquito' as fans say idol is 'fearless'

On October 28, 2020, South Korean K-pop group EXO's member Park Chanyeol was accused by an anonymous social media user of being unfaithful and cheating on her when they dated. The mysterious user also accused the singer of other misdeeds, according to a report by AllKpop. Now, fellow EXO member Baekhyun has taken to Twitter and responded cryptically to the allegations made by a supposed friend of his. Baekhyun, in Korean, called out the accuser in a short tweet which read, "No but really...who is this acquaintance of mine? (Aha there's a mosquito, smack) This little critter. Ah, shake shake."

Fans reacted to Baekhyun's almost immediately. One wrote, "how delusional can bbhl akgaes be to think that Baekhyun was NOT defending Chanyeol? I mean why does it bother them if he was defending Chanyeol? Y'all don’t want Baekhyun to have best friends? At the end of the day, Baekhyun would do anything for Chanyeol go cry about it," while another said, "it’s so funny to me how that girl was basically kinda praising Baekhyun and saying he’s a better person (?) and tearing Chanyeol down in comparison and he really went on Twitter and said I don’t know who this woman is!"

A different user said, "the way Baekhyun shaded the girl who claimed to be Chanyeol's girlfriend and said Baekhyun introduced her to him. Her value is as little as a mosquito. He can grab her in his fist. LOL. RIP," while another expressed, "how can he still be so cute and funny when he’s calling out these shitty people who try to mess up their lives?! He’s really admirable, fearless, brave, humble. A man who will always protect his friends and family!"

Earlier, the anonymous user, in a long letter addressed to Chanyeol, wrote, "Hi Chan__. I don't know if you read this online community or not. I've decided to write something like this, which I never did, to expose you. You must be surprised to see something written from me when you thought we had broken up. Well, I feel dirty and disgusting thinking about the three years I've been tricked by you. Chan__ this is the karma you brought onto yourself. We started dating when you asked one of my acquaintances for my number." She continued, "We began officially dating when you asked me out. Then I found out the shocking truth since the three years we've been dating. I tried not to believe in anything unless I see with my own eyes and hear with my own years. I even believed you when you denied everything. But you were somebody else's first experience as you had one night stands with other people. I was so ignorant as you slept with new women while I was asleep."

The letter also mentions as published by the website, "You were so busy living a dirty life. There were so many various types of women like girl group members, YouTube streamers, flight attendants, and more. Did you enjoy yourself? You're very well-known. Everyone around you knew how dirty you were except me. Really, everyone knows about except me and your fans."She added, "I thought it was strange when you weren't able to defend me when the member you don't like tried flirting with me without knowing our relationship. You weren't even able to express your dissatisfaction in that situation and only cursed about him behind his back. I now realized it was because you couldn't be confident with your actions. I told you as a joke that if you're going to cheat on me, don't let me know about it."
