'Eternals' mid-credits scene explained: Who is Harry Styles' Starfox?
If it was Destin Daniel Cretton’s 'Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings' that gave us the familiar feeling of watching Marvel extravaganza's in theatres, Chloe Zhao's 'Eternals' heightens the experience with some stellar storytelling and an impressive ensemble cast that tell us a lot more about the enigmatic superheroes. What Zhao does is give us two end credit scenes — both making absolute sense and further fuel the speculations of what happens next.
The first scene introduces us to Harry Styles' Starfox, the intergalactic adventurer, and smooth-talker. Introduced in the '73 comic 'The Invincible Iron Man #55' by Mike Friedrich and Jim Starlin, Eros comes from Saturn’s largest moon, Titan. Seems familiar?

Marvel's 'Eternals' mid-credit scene explained
Jumping in quickly to the mid-credits scene, Thena (Angelina Jolie), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), and Druig (Barry Keoghan) is aboard the Domo flying through space and wondering where the rest of their companions are. They are oblivious to the fact that the celestial Arishem arrived on earth to Sersi (Gemma Chan), Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani), Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), and Gilgamesh (Don Lee) to judge them for sacrificing the birth of Tiamut, the celestial who would be born out at the cost of earth's decimation.
However, the trio has their own dose of shocks to deal with as a disembodied voice begins to provide a grand monologue and turns out to be none other thanPip The Troll (Patton Oswalt) who, in many ways, better than Ebony Maw heralds the arrival of Starfox (Harry Styles), better known as Eros, a Titan an Eternal and the brother of Thanos. Thena, Druig, and Makkari look absolutely stunned as Eros, oozing confidence and charisma while also telling that the missing Eternals are in huge trouble. He also reveals that he possesses the orbs that help communicate with the Celestials.
The arrival of Starfox suggests that there will be a sequel to the 'Eternals' although it is unclear how things will pan out for the remainder of the heroes considering they're just half the team. Starfox may seem to be a stylish snob and generally sided with the Avengers in the comics, but it does seem like he's no match for the Celestials either. With Marvel usually keeping things under wraps, it's anyone's guess on how they plan on getting their friends back. For now, it does appear that Starfox will have a better introductory role in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3'. We can't rule out the possibility of him showing up in 'The Marvels' (2023) either. So for now, it's a wait.
