LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bowen Yang's recent stint on 'Saturday Night Live' has left the Internet abuzz with predictions of an Emmy Award.

The NBC show cleverly tackled the ousting of George Santos in a hilarious skit filled with fabrications and dramatic flair that left the audience roaring with laughter.

This comes after Santos was expelled by the US House of Representatives over ethics violations in a historic vote. The politician reportedly said, "To hell with this place," as he left the Capitol building, according to the BBC.

Bowen Yang takes on the role of ousted Rep George Santos

In the show, following his expulsion, George Santos, portrayed by Bowen Yang, held a press conference outside the Capitol building. The disgraced Rep claimed that he was being targeted and harassed by the entire nation for identifying as a "proud, gay thief."

He declared, "Since the day I was elected, it's been a witch hunt, but if I'm guilty of anything it's for loving too much- slash- fraud," with an overcoat stylishly draped over his shoulders, during the show’s opening segment "Cold Open."

"Now I'm sure you bloodthirsty jackals in the media have a thousand mean, nasty questions you’re dying to ask me, go," challenged Santos, only for a reporter to retort, "You called this press conference, no one asked you to do this."

During the question-and-answer session with journalists, he was seen trying to deceive them by asking for their banking details, including their bank routing number, their mother's maiden name, and the name of their childhood pet.

Surprisingly, he managed to get an answer to the last query.

Now devoid of his congressional responsibilities, Santos adopted a grandiose new title for himself, "Professor, Major, General, Reverend, Astronaut Santos, Protector of the Realm and Princess of Genovia," a nod to the fictional country from the 'The Princess Diaries' film series, as cited by the New York Post

When inquired about how he'd like to be remembered in the annals of history, Santos responded with a rendition of Elton John's iconic song, 'Candle in the Wind', reimagined in his unique style.

"Bowen's portrayal is just so good. I can definitely see an Emmy nomination for this episode," noted a person, with someone else mentioning, "Bowen Yang ate this."
