LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: With much fanfare and tremendous anticipation, Netflix is about to roll out the first installment of the fourth season of 'Emily in Paris' on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Set against the backdrop of glitzy Paris, the show has garnered a cult following due to its visual feast featuring beautiful fashion choices, making it a source of inspiration for many.

Furthermore, the show's ensemble has captivated viewers, with many rooting for their favorites. So, as the new season approaches, let's plunge into the magical world of 'Emily in Paris' and rate its amazing characters, as well as discuss why Camille (Camille Razat) isn't ranked first.

6. Camille

Camille while being depicted as the classic Parisian, is ranked last on the list owing to her decisive personality in 'Emily in Paris'. Camille's character growth is variable throughout the series. Initially depicted as Emily's friend and Gabriel's loving companion, her abrupt turn into a competitor and adversary lacks appropriate context.

Furthermore, her ending her marriage with Gabriel in 'Emily in Paris' Season 3 finale while blaming Gabriel and Emily's feelings but not revealing her own romance with Sofia Sideris (Melia Kreiling) demonstrates her ability to play the victim.

5. Alfie

While Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) clearly made waves in 'Emily in Paris' Season 3, his character ultimately acts as a counterbalance to Emily's journey rather than a key protagonist, earning him fifth place on the list. Alfie is presented as a striking contrast to Emily, who is frequently too eager and innocent.

However, his character lacks the depth and complexity required to carry a narrative alone. Furthermore, Alfie's main purpose is to be for Emily and that speaks a lot of lack of character development.

4. Gabriel

Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) is ranked fourth owing to his essential part in the show's romantic storyline. Initially introduced as Emily's neighbor, the two begin to develop romantic emotions for one another, but the fact that he was already seeing Camille yet flirting with Emily, is what landed him at number four.

Gabriel, Emily's major love interest, plays an important role in the show's romantic dynamics, like the love triangle that keeps viewers interested in his character. His on-again, off-again relationship with Emily generates continual drama, making him an important character in the show's romantic plotlines.

3. Sylvie Grateau

Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) stands out as the number three character in 'Emily in Paris’, as she symbolizes a strong female role model. Sylvie, in every right, is the definition of a strong female role model, as she easily negotiates the complexities of her professional and personal life.

Despite her initially harsh temperament, Sylvie is a valuable mentor to Emily. Her tough-love attitude encourages Emily to mature and adjust to the Parisian job climate. I'm curious to watch how things go between her and Laurent G. (Arnaud Binard) in the next season.

2. Mindy Chen

Mindy Chen (Ashley Park), our protagonist's lively and idealistic best friend, takes the second spot owing to her realistic backstory, which displays her struggle and goals with a dash of humorous gold. Mindy adds significant emotional depth to the narrative, often acting as a helping ear for Emily's frustrations and successes. Her earnest chats with Emily, as well as her challenges, contribute to the show's emotional richness.

Furthermore, her outstanding renditions are the chef's kiss in every way. While her relationship with Nicolas de Léon (Paul Forman) has the potential for huge issues, she does her best to prevent them. Her colorful personality and compelling tale make her an essential part of Emily's Parisian adventures.

1. Emily Cooper

Let's discuss whom will Emily Cooper will choose in 'Emily in Paris' Season 4 (@netflix)

The top slot goes to the show's protagonist, Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), who is unquestionably the show's heart and soul. Emily's experiences propel the story forward, and her personal development is crucial to the show's appeal.

Emily's vivid and unique style has also helped to make her exceptional fashion sense recognizable. Her journey through personal and professional struggles, along with her fashion impact and love entanglements, make her the most intriguing and important character in the series.
