‘And lead us not into temptation': Elon Musk attempts to lure Donald Trump back to Twitter with NSFW post
The owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, desperately wants the former President of the United States back on his platform. Recently, the tech Billionaire reinstated Donald Trump’s Twitter account after a poll dedicated to the matter had a majority of votes in favor of Trump’s return to the social media platform. But even after Musk’s many efforts to bring Trump back to Twitter, the latter seems to have rejected the idea as he declared that “he does not see any reason” to return to Twitter. Now, in yet another attempt to “tempt” Trump back to the platform, Musk posted an NSFW meme to welcome him.
On November 21, a day after lifting the former President’s 22-month suspension, Elon Musk posted a meme directed at Trump allegedly referencing the sixth petition of the seven petitions of the Lord’s prayer from the Bible. He captioned the post as “And lead us not into temptation …” and clearly was mocking Trump’s self-restraint. The image displayed a man praying in order to not indulge in the temptation in front of him, which is a woman allegedly trying to seduce him. Elon’s version of the meme had the Twitter logo on the woman’s buttocks while the words “Donald Trump” were plastered on the image of the praying man.

Trump had previously stated that he had “a lot of problems at Twitter” and preferred his own media house, Truth Social. “I hear we’re getting a big vote to also go back on Twitter. I don’t see it because I don’t see any reason for it,” Trump told the Republican Jewish Coalition meeting in Las Vegas via video link. “It may make it, it may not make it," reported Japan Times.
Many Twitter users responded to Musk’s tweet, wondering how long it would take for Trump to give in and return to Twitter from Truth Social, considering Truth Social is a far smaller platform than Twitter. Trump’s following on Truth Social stands at 4.6 million, which is dwarfed by his 88 million following on Twitter. One user wrote, “How long can Trump hold out from temptation????” Another joked, “Trump forgot the password to his twitter account.” While one individual called out Musk for his “inappropriate actions” with, “Elon Musk, this is incredibly inappropriate. There are children on this app. You should know this, you see the statistics. You have the data. What if my 2 year old child was to see this? Twitter is supposed to be safe for my kid, and here you are disproving it. Do better.” A user penned, “Imagine being on the board of Tesla or a major investor right now.”
