LOOK WHO'S BACK! Internet braced for the worst after Elon Musk restores Donald Trump's Twitter account
Elon Musk has allowed former president Donald Trump's Twitter account to be restored following votes by people on social media. Users on Twitter voted 52% to 48% to allow Trump's return to the platform. Musk tweeted, "The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei." Trump's account, which had been blocked, reappeared on Twitter on Sunday, November 20, just after Musk said he was lifting the 22-month suspension on the former president. "The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei," Musk tweeted.
The 24-hour poll garnered over 15 million votes. Musk had notably restored accounts tied to conservative media personality Jordan Peterson and the satirical website Babylon Bee in the past. It is, however, not certain that Trump will choose to be back on Twitter. He has said that he had "a lot of problems at Twitter” and wishes to stick to his own media house. "I hear we’re getting a big vote to also go back on Twitter. I don’t see it because I don’t see any reason for it,” Trump told the Republican Jewish Coalition meeting in Las Vegas via video link. "It may make it, it may not make it.”

He promised he would make his run about working people and restoring American energy independence. He also vowed to reform elections to ensure there are "only paper ballots". "This will not be my campaign. This will be our campaign all together. Because the only force strong enough to defeat the massive corruption we are up against is you, the American people," Trump said.
Twitter is unhappy with Trump's return, with one writing, "I think this ends my stay. Farewell sweet Twitter bird!" "Give me one good reason why I should stay on Twitter," one user said, while another wrote, "That seals it, I’m no longer a Twitter user. Been a loyal supporter since 2006 and this is the final straw. Elon has turned this app into a disaster and it’s only getting worse. Deactivating tonight & taking my talents to Instagram where they run a good app."

"I'm blocking Trump and anyone who retweets him," one user wrote, while another said, "I don’t know if I’ll be able to stomach him here." "We need to do the one thing he hates the most. Ignore him. Don’t respond. He’s practically been here forever anyway, because tons of people shared his posts from other sites. Block and ignore him," one user said.
I don’t know if I’ll be able to stomach him here.
