'He owns Twitter': Internet in splits as Elon Musk pokes fun at 'autogenerated' welcome e-mail
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Just a few days after Elon Musk closed a $44B deal to buy Twitter, the new owner of the microblogging platform received an autogenerated mail in his inbox relating to his newfound position in the company. The 51-year-old founder of SpaceX tweeted the contents of the email.
The subject of the e-mail was titled, 'Managing @Twitter 101: 30 days left', indicating a 30-day mandatory course that Musk can undertake in order to learn what it takes to be a good manager at Twitter. After successfully completing the first phase, he advances to 'Managing @Twitter 102'. The billionaire took the correspondence to Twitter and captioned his tweet, "Just received this email from Twitter. This is an actual, real email that was autogenerated."

The autogenerated email stated, "Hey Elon, It's time to start Managing @Twitter 101 (M101)! M101 covers what it means to be a good manager at Twitter by showing you how to create opportunities for impact, help your Tweeps grow their careers, and demonstrate care for your team. Psst... you've only got 30 days to finish this mandatory course. And once you're done, we'll enroll you in Managing @Twiiter 201."
Musk then replied to his tweet taking a dig at the social media platform, "So demanding to allow a mere 30 days to learn this priceless information!" He went on further, "But Management 201 is such a tantalizing carrot."

'He owns Twitter, I don’t think he has to if he doesn’t want to'
The correspondence was taken lightly and laughed at with the internet siding with Musk and continuing his ongoing joke. A netizen jokingly wrote, "Listen you only have 30 days left." Another tweet read, "He started spacex, PayPal, Tesla, OpenAI, StarLink, Boring Co. … but he needs a course drawn up by Twitter that fails to make money and bans who they don’t agree with? I guess."

A Twitter user wrote, "So? do your mandatory course. that's your job now," to which a netizen replied, "He owns Twitter, I don’t think he has to if he doesn’t want to." A user even admitted to being a part of the design team behind the courses, "Hey Elon I’m part of the team the designed these courses. We can take this offline instead of shaming publicly?"
