Elon Musk 'dropped to his knee' to apologize to Sergey Brin after affair with his wife, claims report
Tesla CEO Elon Musk reportedly "begged" his longtime friend and Google co-founder Sergey Brin for forgiveness after Brin divorced his wife Nicole Shanahan in January after learning of her alleged romance with Musk, a report claimed.
The incident occurred at a party early this year. Although Brin accepted the apology, the two tech leaders have not been communicating for a while now, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

The controversy arose from Musk's alleged affair with Shanahan. The WSJ report stated, "The liaison with Mr Musk took place in early December 2021, at the Art Basel event in Miami...Art Basel is a multiday, annual festival that draws wealthy attendees from around the world. At a party...Mr Musk dropped to one knee in front of Mr Brin and apologized profusely for the transgression, begging for forgiveness, according to people with knowledge of the incident."
According to the Journal, Brin and Shanahan had problems with Covid and taking care of their little daughter, even though they were living apart at the time.
According to court records, Brin requested a divorce in January, alleging irreconcilable disagreements. Sources claimed that in the months that followed, his rapport with Musk became tense, and Brin sent orders to his financial advisors to liquidate his holdings in Musk's different companies. One of them is Tesla, in which Brin invested $500K in 2008.
In an interview with Puck, Shanahan said, "I hope for Sergey and I to move forward with dignity, honesty, and harmony for the sake of our child." She claimed that both of them were working towards that.
The alleged affair between Musk and Shanahan happened when the SpaceX CEO split with his partner Grimes. Musk and his ex-girlfriend are parents to two kids, one of whom is a girl who was conceived through surrogacy in the same month as the affair allegedly commenced. According to Business Insider, Musk secretly had twins in November 2021 with Shivon Zilis, one of his top staffers. Musk also has six children with his first wife Justine Musk.
Musk tweeted several times on Sunday, denying the affair claims. "This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night! I've only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic," Musk wrote in the tweet.

In a subsequent tweet, Musk stated with a sigh that he had not had sex with anyone in ages.
The alleged romance is being disclosed as Musk deals with a number of prominent professional issues, such as a lengthy legal dispute with Twitter after Musk backed out of his $44 billion agreement to buy it.
