Ed Sheeran just dropped a sweet romantic surprise for music lovers this Christmas. In a collaboration with Ella Mai for his new single 'Put It All On Me', the singer recruits real-life couples in his music video.

Directed by Jason Koenig, the visual puts the spotlight on sweethearts from all around the world — from Armenia to Pacific Northwest and Dallas to Zanzibar. Towards the end, the singer makes an appearance along with his wife Cherry Seaborn.

The adorable pair captured their intimate moments, dancing in a kitchen and cuddling in their bedroom, also marking the first time the two star in a music video together.  Recounting their love story, the caption in the clip reads, “Back in high school, Ed and Cherry were crushing hard. They made out at the Castle on the Hill. A few years ago, they reconnected, there were fireworks.”

The music video reveals they were married in January 2019. In an interview with Charlamagne The God to promote his album No.6 Collaborations Project, the singer said that he wrote the words before the couple tied the knot, but he "knew" that the two "would be married" by the time the song would release.

Singer Mai can also be seen in a glimpse at the end of the clip as she twirls her way after meeting someone she just “swiped right” on.

The video seems to have touched the right chord with music lovers. After watching the clip, one fan wrote, "Can we all just congratulate him for putting all races, colors and backgrounds together in a beautiful piece of music," and another posted, "Every music video: booze, drugs, half-naked women This video: wholesome, lovely people, touching love. Beautiful."

"Simple joy during this holiday season. Ed has proven once more that you don't need all that editing, expensive crap and what not, all you need are people who enjoy each other's company and bam, a masterpiece. truly a work of art," another viewer wrote.

Prior to this, Sheeran released his single 'South Of The Border' from his collaborative fourth studio album featuring Camila Cabello and Cardi B, which was turned into a heist-themed music video.
