When will 'Dynasty' be back after winter break? Here's what fans can expect from The CW show

When the series comes back in January, there's no doubt Alexis will cause a ruckus in Blake's murder trial and Fallon might plot an act of revenge against Adam.

With a whole lot of twists and turns, 'Dynasty' seems to have left viewers in a fix. Episode 8 came with the burning question: Did Blake Carrington get sent away for life? As the trial started, the entire family was dragged into the spotlight letting out all the skeletons in the closet.

Actor Adam Huber, who plays Liam Ridley, said the trial itself will be split across at least two episodes. The verdict is still awaited and it seems fans will have to wait for 2020 to find out what happens. Moreover, the fall finale ended with a couple of cliffhangers, including one that left Liam Ridley's life in danger as he and Fallon learn that Adam is not blind anymore. His memory came back when Fallon threw the pot and he realized it was Adam who hit his head.

Weren't most viewers waiting for Liam to throw Adam under the bus? However, if he gives in to his anger and hurts or kills a man, it would make him no different than the others, considering he is the only innocent one left on the show.

The CW has announced that Season 3 Episode 9 will air on Friday, January 17. (The CW)

The second big revelation in the episode was Alexis Carrington's much-awaited return to the show as the character left Atlanta at the end of last season with Fallon's face. Alexis has undergone another plastic surgery and now the character will be played by Elaine Hendrix.

When the series comes back in January, there's no doubt Alexis will cause a ruckus in Blake's murder trial and Fallon might plot an act of revenge against Adam. Interestingly, Alexis came back with a new husband, Jeff Colby. That, in itself, creates space for more drama and back-stabbing, doesn't it?

So when will 'Dynasty' return after the winter break? The CW has announced that Season 3 Episode 9 will air on Friday, January 17, in its usual time slot of 9 pm.
