Those from the 90s would better remember Dwayne Johnson by his ring name ‘The Rock’, which he earned by defeating several WWF champions. His work ethics and Mount Rushmore of titles led him to acting and then, there was no looking back for this superstar whose acting reputation has grown beyond imagination over the past decade.

Johnson’s journey to stardom is far from conventional. At the beginning of his career itself, he emerged as the quintessential antagonist of his time by essaying Mathayus in ‘The Mummy’ franchise. His 6 foot 5 frame never came in the way of his versatility or limit him to negative roles.

He put his skills in comedy on display by featuring in films such as ‘The Game Plan’, ‘The Rundown’ and ‘Fighting With My Family’. Johnson’s appearance in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise served as a game-turner in his career as a commercial actor.

He earned a spot among the most bankable actors of Hollywood through his role as Dr. Bravestone in ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’, taking home around $120 million. The actor has reprised his role in the latest installment ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’ which is hitting theatres today.

Johnson has established himself as a desirable actor in the realm of television as well. In 2015, he played the lead Spencer Starsmore in ‘Ballers’, former NFL player turned financial manager, a show on which he also served as the executive producer. The HBO television was soon a hit and continued to air successfully until 2019 completing five seasons of run on television.

Undeniably, he is one of the biggest brand names in the film and television industry in the present time and also boasts millions of followers on social media. It isn’t only the on-screen portrayal that has earned him the appreciation of fans, but Johnson is adored as much for his role as a husband and father in real life.

It seems like his ever-charming looks and impeccable screen presence combined with unquestionable work ethics and dedication will ensure that he is treated as Hollywood’s favorite child for many more years to come and we do not doubt that!
