Dropkick Murphys announce dates for St. Patrick's Day tour as they keep up an old tradition

The Celtic punk rockers are shipping up to Boston for a four-night residency during St. Patrick's Weekend

Dropkick Murphys have a longstanding tradition of announcing a tour that leads up to a residency in their hometown of Boston. It's one of the more pleasant events on a day which is otherwise wrought by cringeworthy cultural appropriation, especially in the mass media. Continuing the tradition, the Celtic punk rockers have announced a 2019 tour leading up to a four-night Boston-area run that concludes on Saint Patrick's Day (March 17).

The 22-date outing kicks off on February 17 in Poughkeepsie, New York and includes stops in Witchita, Tulsa, Miami Beach, and Knoxville before concluding with four nights in Boston over St. Patrick’s Day Weekend.
