Drew Barrymore takes sly dig at 'Music & Lyrics' co-star Hugh Grant after he says 'dogs bark better' than she sings
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hugh Grant recently made comments criticizing Drew Barrymore's singing talent, to which, Barrymore has jokingly retaliated. In a recent interview with Wired, the 62-year-old English actor talked about his 2007 romantic comedy ‘Music & Lyrics’, starring opposite Barrymore. Grant claimed that Barrymore required more auto-tuning than him as her natural singing voice was "just horrendous."
Grant said, "Drew Barrymore was in that film with me and I don’t think she’d mind me saying her singing is just horrendous. I’ve heard dogs bark better than she sings." For the movie, Grant and Barrymore performed the song 'Way Back into Love' as a duet. But as quirky as she is, Barrymore responded by sharing a playful video of the song on her Instagram.

Oscars 2023: Hugh Grant slammed for being 'rude' to Ashley Graham
How did Barrymore handle the comment ?
While she sang the song in her dressing room for ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’, the daytime talk show host was dressed in a brown top and brown leggings. Before turning to face the camera and addressing her former co-star, she sang a couple lyrics of the song into a hairbrush. She swayed from side to side in a jovial manner, making sure she put across her message maturely. "Ah Hugh, Bert, Hugh-bert. That's for you," said Barrymore with a grin.
Grant at Oscars 2023
The Wired interview comes just a few days after Grant made headlines for a somewhat embarrassing interview with model Ashley Graham on the Oscars red carpet. The ‘Paddington 2' actor has blown up people’s imagination, keeping them wondering why the actor was seemingly annoyed with probably everything. He was asked, “How was life inside Glass Onion? How enjoyable is it to film something similar?” However, Graham was met with a laughably embarrassing response. "Oh, I'm hardly in it, I was in it for about three seconds," joked Grant.
In a consistent attempt to make the interview less awkward, Graham inquired, "What are you wearing?" Hugh responded with a straight face, "My suit.” Graham could be seen standing next to Grant as she interrogated him at the beginning of the video, which was later uploaded to Twitter by a number of users. She referred to Grant as a "veteran of the Oscars" and enquired as to what he enjoyed most about the event. In response, Grant looked around and laughed before he said the event was "fascinating" adding "the whole of humanity is here. It's Vanity Fair."
