Dreamcatcher is coming back with a new comeback album and teaser snippets of the new album were more than enough to hype up fans. Their 6th mini-album 'Dystopia: Road to Utopia' with the lead single ‘Odd Eye’ will release on January 26. Here are all the updates on the comeback project.

Dreamcatcher, the South Korean girl group with seven members - JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyeon, debuted in 2017 originally with five members releasing their single album ‘Nightmare’. The K-pop girl-group since then has contributed more than 5 EPs plus held grand concerts touring the globe. The group’s latest project 'Dystopia: Road to Utopia' teases a one-of-a-kind concept where their signature ‘cosmic/magical’ theme meets new elements of a dystopian reality. 



 

Release date

Dystopia: Road to Utopia' will be released on January 26 at 6 pm KST.

Concept 

‘Dystopia: Road to Utopia' teases to embody quite a darker theme with the snippets playing ominous music at the background and the lyrics of the title track ‘Odd Eye’ says,  “Eyes that tear down boundaries / Despair in trying to fight until the end / Wouldn’t there be an end? / Back and forth / This is not the place I’ve been looking for / No more utopia.” Check out the lyrics spoilers here.



 

A number of Dreamcatcher members have also participated in making the album which makes it more special for the fans. According to reports, K-pop star JiU co-composed and co-wrote '4 Memory,' while another member of the septet Dami has contributed in the writing and composing of 'New days.' Music producer Ollounder and LEEZ have participated in all six songs of the album.
